Your detective skills are critical to your survival. On a fast train to Budapest with your fellow detectives, you find out a man by the name of Sir Clarence Hayden has suddenly been murdered! You’re able to narrow down 5 suspects who were seen in the dining car around the same time, but it’s up to you to nail down the suspect before the next stop along the railway. Moving through the cabins and gathering evidence, the killer knows you are hot on their trail and has decided you are their next target. With you out of the picture, they would be free to escape when the train stops.

Nice room. I wanted to like it more, but it was really confusing at the beginning. The flow wasn’t very smooth. I felt like it was a bit all over the place, which is what makes the room more of an expert level. Bayne was a really nice host and GM.

Budapest Express is definitely one of our more challenging rooms. One of the puzzles in this room has multiple moving parts and requires a combination of searching and finding, process of elimination, and sequencing all at once, which does make it very intricate. We’re always looking for ways to improve the experience while keeping the difficulty level engaging. We’re glad to hear Bayne took great care of you—our game masters are a huge part of making each escape memorable! This room was definitely more difficult than some rooms I have done before, me and my friends came the day before and played 7 deadly sins and antidote. This room was like playing the game clue irl. When I first stepped into this room it really looked like you were in a train car.

This room is overall very fun, I loved the puzzle at the end! It's cool to see how it all ties together, and we really liked the elements. It's pretty basic, but flows well for the most part. We did get hung up on a few things or at a few dead ends, but overall it was fine. It did break a core escape room rule in one part, which was how we were stuck for a bit, but once we figure it out we were back on track.
