Love the emersive nature, the creative story, and the supportive game master. The entire experience was positive. Few locks, mostly puzzles, and a multiple room experience. Hidden Gems does not disappoint.

Welcome to the Amber Realm. The evil wizard Zelderon has summoned the Dark Lord Canharat from the depths of his lair to bring ruin to the land. Darkness spreads, and all hope seems lost. You must enter Zelderon’s lair, navigate its dangers, and rescue four legendary heroes who hold the key to stopping this evil. This room exceeded our expectations which were already high. We played with a group of 6 and we were all engaged. We loved the immersive storyline. This room is truly exceptional. For someone (me) who isn’t interested in horror, this was the experience I’d been looking for. My kids do the horror rooms with live actors and they said this experience (though different) is their favorite room so far!

Amazing room! We came in to the room confident and immediately found ourselves to be in quite the puzzle. The puzzles themselves were very creative and interesting, requiring expert group communication and team work. Some puzzles utilized tools from past rooms or multiple people, keeping it interesting and engaging. Honestly one of the hardest I’ve ever done, and I was in love with the theming. Being a huge DnD fan, the fantasy elements were so much fun and kept me energized!! Highly recommend this room if you’re looking for a challenge!

This was one of the hardest, yet one of the best rooms we have done! The theme of the room was well maintained through each puzzle and step of the room. We were able to solve a lot on our own, but we appreciated the nudges and unlimited clues. I highly recommend any room at Hidden Gems!

True to the name “Hidden Gems,” every room at this location lives up to its title - but this one, in particular, is something special. Designed entirely from scratch by the brilliant minds of Kim and Jessie, it’s a true original and an absolute standout. We couldn’t have picked a better experience for our 1000th escape room. The puzzles flowed seamlessly with thoughtful logic, all set within a rich, immersive environment. A true gem in every sense!

This room is tough—but in the best way. The puzzles are challenging and super satisfying to solve, especially if you love fantasy themes. The set design is top-notch, and the whole experience feels like stepping into a magical world. Not for beginners, but perfect for experienced escape room fans looking for something immersive and intense. Highly recommend!

Hidden Gems is by far the best escape room experience in the Richmond area. Every room is incredibly designed with nuance and details. The puzzles and unique and interesting. This room is fairly challenging and worth the 2-hour time limit.
