Scooby, Shaggy, and the gang need your mystery-solving help…or else! The town of Crystal Cove and surrounding areas are being terrorized by monsters and ghosts, and now the local Baroness Maria Richman has gone missing and it is suspected that the ghost sightings have something to do with it! Tasked with solving the crime, you arrive at the same conclusion as Mystery Incorporated. But when you get to the Spooky Castle, Mystery Inc. gets locked out, at the same time you get locked in! You soon realize that they’re able to help by communicating clues via magic portraits inside the Castle. After discovering a secret dungeon and monster lab in the castle, you come to the conclusion that the person responsible almost certainly works in the castle - but who could it be as there are several suspects??

This room is fun and perfect for beginners. We brought some friends for their first room and the clues were fun, not too complex, yet all allowed us to engage them in the solutions to enjoy the experience. I love the theme and the flow was linear. Despite a puzzle not activating and withholding a clue, we were able to solve the puzzle before the game master opened the door that should have to solve the puzzle. Overall, a great time and wonder first exposure to escape rooms for our friends. As semi-experienced at escape rooms, it was still fun and great to share the hobby in this room.

Gameplay

Flowed well. Clues were directive and clearly related to puzzles, in order.

Atmosphere

Fun, whimsical, and related to the cartoon.

Customer service

Friendly staff, this game master actually payed attention.

Game tech

High tech

Mostly magnetic locks, but had a key and a code lock.
