Spellbound

We've tried several games in the mva area and they all just seem so cheap. This one was one of the most so. No immersion factor, one of the buttons was broken, the TV they used to tell the story at the beginning looked like it was 20 years old, and not in the cool way. Single room is always a bit of a disappointment too. For how much they charge, they should put more effort into the deco. The clues were hard but just for the sake of being hard, not innovative or well thought out by any means. It was a disappointing experience.

It was a fun room. We did encounter a small malfunction with on of the mechanisms but our game master helped us out and tried desperately to get it to work. Another clue, the only one we asked for) was very difficult to understand. Otherwise it was fun and had good puzzles.

Solid game that we enjoyed. If you played at Easton, there are some carryover puzzles 🧩 But, we did enjoy the flow and experience. Would recommend if you haven’t played prior!

Solid room! Not super high tech, but still had some really good puzzles. My jaw was never on the floor, but still super satisfying to solve!

This is my favorite room currently at this location. We played as a pair and escaped with plenty of time with no hints used. We liked the puzzles and felt there was a good variety and flow. Many traditional locks but also some tech -- nothing innovative, but still effective. My only real negatives are cosmetic: I wish the space was more immersive, and some of the puzzles could be reskinned to help carry the theme. The rooms at Escape Time do have a diy vibe (which makes sense because iirc they are designed and built in-house) but this room checked all the boxes: good flow, fun puzzles, and everything worked correctly. I'm sorry I don't remember our game master's name, but she was friendly and I loved her enthusiasm for escape rooms.
