I don't typically leave bad reviews, but my party was incredibly disappointed by our experience at Mystery NH. Besides the fact that our room had not one, but TWO malfunctions that required a GM to enter our room during play to fix, the puzzles were not logical. It seems the designers overthought some of the puzzles when designing. Additionally, the thematics of the Mystery Mart room were confusing, dull and and outdated. There were too many locks, and the hints we received to guide us towards a combination were not helpful. Lastly, the ceilings were open between rooms, so we could hear clearly discern the yelling and sound effects from the room next to us. This room was only challenging due to poor execution. It's a shame, as this area could really use a high-quality escape room venue.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am saddened that you were disappointed. I apologize for the one maglock that refused to disengage as programmed. I am not aware of any other malfunctions during your game. Regarding the theme, it is a back stockroom of a discount store, not intended to be flashy, so yes, could be considered ‘dull’. The room introduction describes the “chaotic layout and bizarre clearance bins” of the store. Our wall heights are dictated by our life safety regulations. Over the last 10 years, we have designed over 30 rooms of varying themes, challenges and fun. Perhaps a future room may be provide a better experience.
