57 escape rooms
Note: This room is very similar to Quest Room's Red Giant room in the US (Dallas & LA locations). Probably the same design team...but, there are unique puzzles! I love tomb/treasure themed escape rooms - and you get a mix of both when it's Egyptian themed! This was a hard but well designed room. The initial space is intriguing in itself and sets your excitement levels high! The puzzles are a mix of observation and logic. Gamespace was immersive, background music was thematic, props had good production value. Just a couple of areas where I felt the game could have done even better to prevent confusion and time wastage: a physical instrument was slightly off its mark, and a set piece took a while and precision to "activate". There is also a caveat with tomb themed rooms with hieroglyphics - the symbols could get too intricate or obscure to solve them efficiently - that could either frustrate some players or maybe excite them more! I wasn't the biggest fan of the finale execution - it was a nice touch BUT it could have been contracted - or at least made to scale with the number of players. Still, overall, it was thrilling. All things considered, the "tomb" has its surprises! The reveals are rewarding. I reviewed it from an enthusiast's POV. It's worth it, especially if you haven't experienced this genre. You get 2 official clues. At the GM's discretion, you may get additional nudges or signals for chasing red herrings
Gameplay
The progression was thrilling! Overall, it's linear but you can start assimilating different parts of puzzles at a time.
Atmosphere
Excellent special effects, good immersion and set design.
Customer service
The staff are nice but we would have preferred our GM to be slightly more proactive when we were doing the right thing but just needed some fine tuning to prevent time wastage.
