As paradise burned behind her, she wandered the wilderness with eyes like coals and a voice that made even angels weep. She walked east through the ancient world, across desert sands, past Nimrod’s ruined Tower, through forgotten empires ruined by flood, until, finally, she found her throne at the birthplace of modern myth itself — Egypt. There, she did not bow to gods. Instead, she made them. She called herself Nephthys—but the world would know her as The Queen of Night. She drank the venom from the mouth of the Serpent and became immortal. She seduced kings, devoured priests, and corrupted prophets. And then she created…Not life…But life’s antithesis…Unlife.
