A thrilling dive into the 9 circles of hell, this year's Delusion showcases grand set pieces and jaw dropping effects.

While previous Delusion shows may have felt more intimate, Harrowing of Hell juxtaposes itself as loud and boisterous. Immediately upon entering the lobby, we are greeted with deep thumping club music as patrons lounge on dark leather couches sipping cocktails, bathed in red hazy lights, as demonic entities keep watch over the entire affair from the rafters above. The show itself starts with a bang and doesn't let up - guests are hurried from one nightmarish scene to the next as they find themselves immediately submersed into Hell itself.

The show saves its most spectacular set pieces for the last 2 scenes at the end. The penultimate scene has us come face-to-face with Medusa herself, and she is by far one of the most amazing things to witness from any show I've recently done. Her giant snake tail slithers just out of sight, straight from a movie, and her hair dances violently with snakes that feel so alive. Her presence is menacing, frightful, and inspiring to behold. The look of astonishment on my wife's face as she beheld Medusa for the first time is one I will remember for quite some time.

The final scene lands us in a cavernous room, home to the River Styx, where Charon offers us a ride, for a price. This was a prime example of how to utilize and optimize space - I felt as if I had fallen into a large pit, the walls, floors, and ceiling of the building completely vanished.

Other than the show, the staff were friendly and welcoming. My group and I got to speak with Jon Braver, the creator, at the end, and he was happy to answer any questions or comments we had. Thankfully, there are bathrooms available on site, and both bars were open to all guests, both normal and VIP. Guests can watch a magician perform sleight-of-hand tricks, grab a drink, or explore a couple of decorated areas.

Overall, Delusion continues to bring great entertainment with amazing production value to SoCal with their latest installment. For new and returning fans, I recommend this journey to the Underworld.
