A tourist town in the Blue Mountains has had an increase in missing persons over the holiday season. You never think it could be you next… but a night out goes wrong and suddenly you’ve woken up in a dark room. Time has escaped you and you don’t know where you could possibly be. 4 escape rooms

9/10 we had a great time. Scary escape rooms are at the bottom of my preference (my brain really doesn’t work as well when I’m in fear) but for fun with hubby who loves scary escape rooms, it was all worth it and I would totally do it again! Our game master Lem was 10/10! We had been waiting for this room ever since we started doing escape rooms a couple of months ago and now that we are running out of good ones in Sydney, this one opened up perfectly on time! There was so much to do and the rooms flowed really well with variety of different puzzles and skills needed.

Was anything broken?

Yes

There were a couple of issues with some mechanical puzzles unlocking but our amazing GM was on top of it and told us when he noticed something didn’t work the way it should’ve and promptly told us how to get the next clue ourselves. Being a newer game, we somewhat expected this and I wouldn’t let this detract from our overall experience because it was handled so well.

Accessibility

Hubby is colourblind and we had no issues at all. There was crawling involved in one part of the game, as long as someone in the team is physically able, there would be no issues.

126 escape rooms

Our new favourite room at Scram Escape! The Butcher was everything we could have hoped for — immersive theming, creepy atmosphere, well-executed jump scares, multiple areas that are all very different, a solid storyline, a couple of cool surprises, and a diverse assortment of puzzles that test not just your brain but your senses and physical skills. It's only been open for a couple of weeks but we had zero suggestions to help them improve it!

This room was incredibly enjoyable and a tad bit creepy. There are a few jump scares with the live actor, but it isn’t too scary. The room had many unique sections with all different puzzles. Though this was its second week of opening, we had no problem with it whatsoever and the experience was very smooth. I definitely recommend this to anyone who aren’t too against horror. P.S. Although it is only the second week, we still managed to break the record by around 20 mins.

We loved this room and were told we were only the second offical group through. The room was aesthetically great, lots of puzzles to solve and it was REALLY enjoyable! Highly recommend!
