Fun room with the caveat that you basically have to be a millennial 90s kid to “get it.” Most of the puzzles are 90s culture media references. Though the title of the room is Y2K, the room almost has nothing to do with it besides references to how that was a big scare in 1999. I love the 90s so I didn’t mind, but it may confuse younger generations. There are also an obnoxious number of locks in this room, which is a habit that plagues Breakout Waikiki in general. They’re almost all the same 4-digit lock (they even look exactly the same), so any time you get a code, it’s basically a guessing game to which lock it opens. Struggles aside, I am still biased to liking the 90s puzzles, even though they make little sense in the “story.” But if you weren’t alive yet in the 90s, it might not be worth partying like it’s 1999.

This room was very fun - brought back all the nostalgia of 2000. Exciting surprises and puzzles to work on. Fun gameplay that left our group of 3 excited and wanting more.

Really fun theme if you grew up in the 90s, and most puzzles really leaned into the theme. Not terribly hard - my wife and I did it ourselves. We really had fun though.
