Everyone in town knows about the old mansion on the hill, and the reclusive Mr. Rose who lives there. They say he’s mourning his beautiful wife, Abigail. There’s even meant to be a treasure, one he claims can only be found by someone who loves Abigail as much as he does. That same Abigail haunts your dreams and begs for your help. Now, at last you have a chance to find out why. Mr. Rose has left his house for the first time in years. You have one hour to contact Abigail’s spirit and find her treasure. But what is the treasure? And why doesn’t anyone in town remember Abigail?

Our group of 4 experienced players really enjoyed this room. Love that the room was non-linear and the diversity of puzzles and mechanisms kept us on our toes in the best way! Sean gave us a nudge when we essentially solved the puzzle, but had to tweak a little. Looking to trying our hand when the next room comes online.

Really great single room. Game play flowed extremely well. Some really cool puzzles in here. My boyfriend and I finished with 5 minutes left using about 4 hits the whole time. Highly recommend. We will be back to play their new game coming out.

Easily the most narrative-heavy room I’ve encountered so far (in a good way)! Fascinating first room from Choice Escapes with some unconventional puzzles and challenging puzzle logic that will push small groups of experienced players and punish players that rely on normal escape room tropes. Did this with 2 players and came down to the wire (I suspect the GM gave us a bit of extra grace by a few seconds) and definitely think this would have played more comfortably with a 4-6 group.

Gameplay

The flow was ambiguous at parts but each puzzle was substantial enough to be fun once you made the required leap

Atmosphere

Good atmosphere, novel place to do a build out in (Choice Escapes nailed it, made this in a pre-divided office space)

Customer service

GM was super accommodating of us showing up early! Friendly, helpful, solid hints. I’m glad we visited

We ended up checking out the new Choice Escapes room last minute on our trip to Seattle. The room is reminiscent of a gen 1 escape room, with a few very cool high-tech mechanics seen in newer rooms that we did not expect from the outset. The work and effort they put into creating the room is very apparent, and a lot of the ingredients for an excellent room are there (lighting changes, puzzle build, custom build mechanics, puzzle ideas). The level of build quality is not consistent throughout the game, making, the game flow a bit choppy, and a challenge especially given its non-linear design. However, we could see this room being nice for a large group to divide and conquer. We thought it was a great first room, and with some finessing, more good things to come given some interesting puzzles that are custom built. It is very nice to see there are new escape room businesses opening in Seattle.

Lots of unique mechanisms, plenty of things to do for a group of four, all of the mechanical elements worked great, nice mix of linear/nonlinear tracks. Decor and puzzles worked together very purposefully to create an interesting storyline. GM built everything himself and you could tell he really cared about creating a good experience. We’ve done a lot of escape rooms and this is up there for the best we’ve done! Recommend!

So happy to see a new escape room company in Seattle! We played "The Restless Spirit of Abigail Rose". It was a good fit for an 8 person group with puzzles that could be done in parallel. I enjoyed the premise of the room as well as the very creatively designed puzzles. There is a unique clue giving mechanism that wasn't immediately intuitive for us, but was super cool once we were reminded we should try it. We were also told every element of the room was handcrafted by the GM's husband, which is incredibly impressive. I do think some elements could be built more resiliently. Sadly, several of the puzzles were glitchy for us and required overrides. We learned the previous group was super rough with the room, so it wasn't their fault, but it would have been nice to receive a warning going in beforehand instead of discovering it only once things didn't activate smoothly. Overall, it was a solid first venture from a new company and I would return for a future room.

This is one of the best one room games I have played. A mix of Gen 1 and Gen 2. Super clever puzzles and very creatively done. Escaped with 2, but it was close!!!
