An old transit station still conceals access to an off-grid rail car beneath the city. The systems are down, security is closing in, and your team must restore station functions, bring the train back online, and get it moving before the breach is detected and locked down. Cyber Station is one of the more demanding current missions and rewards teams that communicate well and stay organized. It’s a great choice for players who enjoy a more involved objective. Best for: experienced players and groups looking for a challenge.

3rd time visiting City Limits (CL) and it was another good experience. Just walking through the hallways of CL is exciting, as the hallways leading up to game are in the dystopian theme and have a lot of cool decor and graffiti, which makes you start to feel immersed in the city setting, before you even enter your room. We played Cyber Station, which had another cool set, but this time in a subway station. The sets really make the game more fun at CL, as they are really well done and transport you into the dystopian City world. There was a wide variety of puzzles in this room, and I enjoyed the skill puzzle early on. This room had another Simon-type puzzle near the end, but this was easier than a similar puzzle in the City Reserve room. There were multiple areas to explore and several neat puzzles, but the flow seemed to not be as good in this room. We did not always connect with the sequence for entering in known information, and it made us spin our wheels a bit. Also, a few puzzles were a little “sticky” with the buttons so we had to enter them multiple times, but nothing that threw us off much. There were cool real items in the room including a pay phone, pop machine, and coin machine. Interacting with these props were fun and there was even a fun fake phone number you could call and get an early 80’s throwback jingle, which made us smile. Overall, another cool room and fun experience. After we were done, we spoke with the owners, Mike and Michelle, about how everything was going at CL, and how they were able to rebuild everything so well. They even gave us a quick tour of the place, including showing us the wiring of certain rooms and the GM room. Mike and Michelle were great to talk with, and they are very open for feedback, as they are planning on more rooms at this location and are open to tweaking their current rooms to make them better. It is great to see owners who want to improve and are concerned about providing a great customer experience, so I appreciated them both spending extra time on a Friday night to speak with us. Definitely check out City Limits and play Save The City (all 4 rooms, hallways, and bonus room) when they have that available later this year!

Several puzzles didn’t function properly when I played, and some of them were quite confusing even with clues. Lots of rooms, but wasn’t super impressive for it being the hardest room at City 13.

Conflicted on my review with this room because I think it has potential to be a very nice room with unique puzzles, but at the time I played many puzzles were broken and the game guide continuously tried to say that the puzzles weren’t broken and we were doing them incorrectly. A somewhat sour experience in an otherwise good interaction with city 13. My least favorite room here and one I personally would never redo even if the puzzles were fixed, but an experience that could’ve been improved with a different game guide. A fun room for those very into the theming that city 13 is good at, and the puzzles that I had issues with may very well be fixed, but if the puzzles are in the same state of he experience is very average with broken puzzles

First experience at City13 and I knew we were in for a treat upon walking into the venue. Cyber Station had many unique puzzles and offered a high tech experience along with a unique story line. Some puzzles were a little questionable, but they made sense overall.

really enjoyed this room. the theme and story were pretty hands off for most of the room and really let us just explore the space and figure things out. The puzzles in this room were very well themed and tied directly into the environment and made the whole scene really feel cohesive. the variety of puzzles and solutions was great and the Gm did a great job nudging us when we were on the right track but never directing us without prompting. Room stumbled slightly at the end with a more played out mechanic that worked fine but was just not as exciting of an end to this room as we thought we were building to. After completing this room, we were so impressed that we booked the save the city experience (in which you do all the city rooms in a row) on the stop so we can experience all the other rooms as well.

Gameplay

puzzles were challenging and fun, but fair. all the mechanics and clues made sense but required a keen eye in some cases.

Atmosphere

atmosphere was great from the second we walked into the venue. the lobby is relaxing and inviting, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the game area felt like we walked into a completely different environment.

Customer service

staff were great, we liked that they provided a locker for coats and stuff and made it easy to schedule the next game after completing our first one today.

This was the second room we did at City 13, and again it was spectacular! Their sets are genuinely impressive! We felt very comfortable completing all the puzzles and didn't feel overly frustrated at any point. The staff is always friendly and full of positive energy! This company is really great overall!

The Cyber Station, or “Subway,” was my 3rd favorite of 4 rooms as part of the Save the City adventure. Honestly, it’s probably only ranked where it is for me because by this time during the 4-hour escape room marathon, we were exhausted and needed more hints than usual to get through. It’s still a great room on its own right both and as part of the bigger group. The puzzles were clever and excellently designed. And I thought they managed to fit a lot of fun into a relatively small space. Say hi to Cleocatra!

Super nice escape room. Cyber station was awesome & tricky! We have played a lot of escape rooms so we thought a level 7 would be ok but we did get stumped a few times. The workers were very nice & the building is modern. Snacks available to purchase. Free pool. When you go back to the room the whole building is very interactive. I’d love to try the escape the city!
