Anytime we finish a room in less than 30 minutes (without rushing), it’s hard to not feel a little cheated (especially when it’s $40+ per person). Really think in these situations it would be great to offer a discount on the next room (especially if there is open bookings immediately after)- win-win, as it’s unlikely we would ever come back to try their other rooms given how short this one was.
Overall, this room has a good atmosphere and sound/music, but given the limited number of straightforward puzzles and some broken tech, I wouldn’t recommend this room to enthusiasts.
One puzzle was broken (doesn’t seem like they plan to fix it) so you just have to call out the answer to the GM rather than input it, so that seemed kind of meh. Another puzzle has two semi identical ways to solve it (due to a repeating letter) so we were told over the microphone “try the other A first”… seemed like pretty poor puzzle design and could have been easily fixed with better programming or just switching to another word (don’t want to give spoilers, but there is another totally legitimate word they could use). This puzzle was also pretty finnicky as was another puzzles- the solutions were easy but inputting them was hit or miss.
Good atmosphere, good use of music/sound
One puzzle was totally broken and two were pretty finnicky in their input
