The year is 1943, the place New York City. Everywhere you go the city is bursting with life and excitement, but beneath the glitz and glamour there are dark powers at play. You have recently joined the Tri-State Trio Mafia, but an undercover detective threatens to put the entire organization behind bars. Can you find all his evidence and destroy it before the police catch you?

This is the 3rd room we have done at this location. All 3 have virtually identical sets. You start in one cold abandoned class room with no personality and then move to another cold abandoned feeling room. Another thing all 3 have in common is that there is a complete failure to provide enough to interact with or piece together to determine what youβre supposed to be doing. Nearly nothing is related to anything else. GMs are also not helpful. We asked for a clue and were told to do literally what we had been doing to no success. When we advised the solution wasnβt working the response was βwell guess you havenβt solved it yetβ. Area surrounding this place is also sketchy. Did not feel comfortable/safe there.
This is not a hard room because the puzzles are creative and out of the box or too clever. This is a hard room because they put a lot of elements that are unrelated to the theme and there is no way to determine what youβre supposed to interact with until you get closer to the end.
Feels and looks old and beaten down. All of their rooms feel like cold abandoned class rooms.

Hi Susiefyfe, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations. We always strive to provide a fun, engaging, and safe experience for all of our guests. Weβd like to kindly clarify that all 9 of our escape rooms are designed with distinct themes and storylines, so none of them should feel identical. From what you described, it sounds like you may have played Abandoned 2.0, which is actually one of our most popular and highly rated rooms. That said, we always welcome constructive feedback to help us continue improving. Regarding the interaction with our Game Masters, we take customer service very seriously. Could you share a bit more detail about the situation? Specifically, was the issue related to a puzzle itself or to the way the Game Master handled the hint? This will help us address the concern properly with our team. Lastly, we understand your concern about the surrounding area. While Pomona as a city has its challenges, we take security and customer safety seriously within our facility and its immediate surroundings. We continuously work on maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for all our guests. We appreciate your feedback and would love the opportunity to learn more about your experience so we can make things right. Please donβt hesitate to reach out to us directly if youβre open to discussing it further. Best regards, Chronos Escape Room

Really hard puzzles because they were based on nothing and were unconnected a lot of the time. The props were malfunctioning, the set seemed old⦠hopefully they refurbish it

This was definitely tough. I liked the difficulty, but be warned they give you basically nothing to go on. You really have to put things together and assume stuff in order to progress without clues. It's also very dark and hard to see some important stuff. So that makes it even more challenging, but not in the fun way. Overall, i give it a thumbs up though just because it did have interesting tactics

Built to be hard and not fun, Private Eye has a basic story, design, and puzzle flow with no reveals, cool mechanics, or memorability (outside of the poor puzzle design). Used a couple clues to figure the puzzles out to find out we never would have solved them without. It's not intuitive in any way and the actual set nor story make up for it.

The room was okay. Itβs better to have more people since most of the puzzles were observational and non liner. The flow was kind of weird and a few stuff didnβt really make sense. Some of the puzzles were pretty unique though. I also thought the ending was cool.

This is the hardest room me and my group have ever done but we did get out!! I believe the game creators wanted to be able to say only X amount get out without clues because one particular puzzle on the wall I personally feel like made us ask for a hint as figuring it out alone wasnβt going to be possible. The ending to the game was EXTREMELY weird and as the game master is coming in, congratulating us for getting out, weβre all baffled and confused and still arguing about some of the game play we did.

Im giving thumbs up instead of thumbs down because maybe it was just us. But private eye felt impossible. We escaped at the last possible second with an added 2 minutes to our 60 because we were so close to the end. A lot of the puzzles made no sense to us, we spent an hour basically walking in circles. Towards the end we all were sitting on the floor just waiting for the hour to end because we had no idea where we were or what to solve. The puzzle flow was not clear, what to look for and what to solve from the puzzle was basically non existent. We had to ask for a lot of help from the GM through the whole game, which we felt ruined the point because we wanted to be able to solve on our own. I feel like if a room only has a 5-10% escape rate, maybe something is wrong.
We did not feel the puzzles flowed well at all. The puzzles left us at a stand still of what to look for, where to look for answers or where to get the next puzzle. There were many hints we had to ask for, ask well as a lot of turning in circles.
The immersion was there, it held up against a typical escape room. Nothing super spectacular but it did the job.
We had been to chronos several times prior to this game and had a great experience. But the staff during this particular trip was just awkward. We were pushed aside by a larger group coming out of the room, no one really wanted to converse, there was a strong feeling of they just wanted to get you in your game and get you out. Something about the atmosphere felt tense. We walked out after our game and just laughed because it was just so awkward.

I mean the story plot was there, your trying to follow the story line throughout the whole game. But it kind of gets lost in the confusion of the puzzles.

Challenging but in a way that just seems impossible, i think this game needs a revamp.

Maybe the game is made easier with more players.

This room was fun. Story was good and had good puzzles.
βBecause, this time, the puzzles were HARD. But I'll circle back to that.β
