The principle of Yin and Yang is a fundamental concept in Chinese philosophy and culture. All things exist as inseparable and contradictory opposites. Everything has both yin and yang aspects. For example, shadow cannot exist without light. This is a more tranquil adaptation of an escape room but is still guaranteed to stretch your skills.

Explore – Locate – Unlock – Decode – Escape. All of these things were achieved and more in this 75-minute puzzle labyrinth. If I can be honest I went into Yin Yang with fear in my heart and turmoil in my soul after barely conquering the "easier" beaches of Elude's Torquay room. But I am proud to say I made it out the other side with time to spare and my ego still intact. Hell yeah. The room itself (unsurprisingly) is a joy for enthusiasts, once again packed to the brim with clever, on-theme puzzles which possess a wide range of difficulty, there was never a moment of monotony or boredom. Despite the in-depth story briefing beforehand I had a bit of trouble with what was going on around me but I think I more attribute that to my general illness and competitiveness blending together to make me an even more toxic escape room player. Whoops. It's once again hard to fault what Julia and Darren have put together here, it was immaculate, engaging and challenging. Much love xx

After being humbled and just getting out of Torquay in time we returned to Elude with some reinforcements. Yin Yang did not disappoint. Another really great room from Elude just absolutely filled with puzzles. A giant abacus, a giant sudoku and even a giant puzzle box, I was rocking with it. A masterclass in multi-linearity, even with 5 people there was still always something for us to work on. Something I’ve now noticed consistently with Elude is their super creative use of space and props. I can’t think of many things in the decor of this room that weren’t eventually used in solving a puzzle. Definitely worth the trip out, would highly recommend.

Loved this room! The theming was great, feeling like were transported to a Chinese shrine! The variety of puzzles are also great and everything was very clearly marked out so you could tell which answer was for what lock. Overall a must do room!

Elude delivers again with an exciting and challenging room! The Chinese philosophy- themed Yin Yang is gorgeous and serene, but had us sweating bullets towards the end! With some pretty tricky dexterity and logic puzzles eating our time away, we definitely couldn’t be shy about asking for a few hints, but we’re glad to have escaped with less than 4 minutes left. Featuring arguably the most difficult rooms in Sydney, Elude is definitely the place to go for enthusiasts hungry for a challenge.

This has been my favourite escape room to date. I enjoyed it more than La Rebellion (which was fantastic!). It was so clever, consistently on theme and the secret parts were impressive! The owners are very passionate and their attention to detail is next level. Can’t recommend this room enough!!
