Containment

If you’re a fan of horror (or even if you’re not), this room is so fun and immersive! The game has a good flow and you know your objective from the start, so it’s pretty easy to gauge how far along you are. All of the Sixty to Escape games have been great, but this one was my favorite from a pacing and theme perspective.

The atmosphere of this room was perfect. Creepy, but minimal jump scares. So don’t be too nervous if you don’t like scary. I would have given this a love if there wasn’t one puzzle that we wasted so much time on. It’s one of those things where you’re either good at it or not and our group clearly wasn’t lol. So we wasted like 15 min. Still got out, we just had to make up for lost time!

This was our first 60 to Escape at Gurnee. We've done all the ones in Schaumburg. We didn't like this room as much and mostly because you could hear people in the other rooms (unlike at Schaumburg) which takes away from the immersion. There are alot of locks in this room, but they totally fit with the theme. There is alot going at on at the same time which is good for our group of 4 that likes to spread out, but with the music and moving back and forth between rooms it was hard to keep track of what was done and what still needed to be worked on. Overall it was fine, but not our favorite.

Great experience! There were a few jump scares, but no live actors.

The oldest game at this place, and you can tell based on the number of physical locks. There are some jump scares, and the atmosphere is pretty well built. It's a pretty solid room, though I prefer others in this location.

One of the first dark rooms my group and i have done and it was pretty fun! As with all rooms from this location, the set design and dressing was on point but a few of the props and areas were definitely "well loved" and in need of some touching up. There were a lot of puzzles to get through so that was fun and for the most part the progression was non-linear with everyone being able to work on either own stuff for a bit. We liked the variety of puzzles and thought they were mostly well themed. We did feel like the room stumbled just at the very end with a rather tedious and frankly not very exciting final couple of puzzles but the experience as a whole was definitely worth while.

My heart is pumping fast! This is a fun escape room with scares (more than what we’re used to but nothing we couldn’t handle, and we are scaredy-cats!) Great props and genuinely unsettling set design! Lots of puzzles, some of which made sense, but others didn’t flow as well. Also, this is definitely one of those rooms where there’s just a bit too much for 2 people, especially with the constant darkness and purposefully crappy flashlights. Probably better with a bigger group. That said, a huge thumbs up to our gamemaster Haylee, who helped us out with great hints and what we needed to escape alive!

My favorite game from this location. Best use of physical puzzles and best use of darkness. Super creepy atmosphere and genuinely scary. But overall an amazing room.

This room has tons of puzzles and tons of things to do. Very immersive and even a bit scary.
