Your friend Connor, an aspiring novelist has been working on a book about serial killers. He thinks he has scored his big break when he finds a lead on the Zodiac Killer. Obtaining information on a serial killer that was never caught was an oppotunity too great to pass up. So he headed off to the small midwestern town to speak with this informant, Zed Holman, the owner of a junkyard. This was six months ago and you have not heard from Connor since. The police are not able to file a missing person's report, so you decide to go see for yourself. When you finally arrive in town, night is falling and a storm is on the horizon. You approach the junkard looking for answers as to the fate of your friend...

The theme of this room and atmosphere is so well done. Itβs clear that they have put A LOT of thought into their storyline and everything is very intentional. There were lots of puzzles in here that we havenβt seen in other rooms. It is more creepy than scary. There are multiple tasks that can happen simultaneously and we found 4 to be the perfect number to do this room.

After 2 terrible escape rooms earlier in the day we were directed to masterpiece escape and recommended wrecked. I'm this place was absolutely one of the best if not the best one we've been to. From their customer service, awesome and creative puzzles and detail I would highly recommend this establishment. We've done almost 100 escape rooms in multiple states and will definitely make the almost 2 hour trip back up to do the rest. Top notch πππππππππ―π―π―π―

Great detail
Staff was great. We didn't have to ask for a lot of clues, but they would nudge us along a little

We had such a great time! FWIW, I hate room minimums of 3. I get wanting to make money on rooms, but just make it cost a bit more for 2 tickets than for 3. I was very close to not booking just because of this. My wife and I like to play rooms 2 player, and paying for a third ticket we don't need is incredibly galling. That nit-pick aside, the room itself was super fun! We were so curious how the decor was going to evoke a junkyard, but man, it did not disappoint! It was thematic and really well decorated! Quite a few lock and keys used, but a good number of creative electronic elements mixed in to make up for that somewhat. Mostly good puzzles, a few that were a little tedious, but the final room was great! Super cool theme, fun puzzle tie ins, just really well done! First room I've ever done where we had a reset error that interrupted our game, though, lol. I know it can be pretty easy to miss resetting an element, but it took us down a wrong track for a while until our GM realized we weren't supposed to have one item yet, but he got us back on track.

Such an excellent game! The flow of the game was smooth and it had SO many puzzles, and we enjoyed all of them! Especially the feeling of entering the last space and realizing just how many puzzles still remained was exciting! We really enjoyed that many puzzles were multi-layered. They did a great job with their lighting and sound effects, and got me with a few good jump scares! The owner is very kind and you can tell is very passionate about what he does. The GM we had wasn't my favorite, offered nudges a little too quickly (especially because it is such a well designed room that we never felt behind or confused, we just needed a quick minute to think it through), but the game more than made up for it! We would absolutely recommend making the trip to Masterpiece Escapes, we for sure will be back to try their other ones soon!

We travelled down to Charlotte for an escape room marathon at Masterpiece Escapes and did Ghastly Escapes, the Deadwood Saloon, the Coral Kingdom Aquarium, and Breakfast All Day. Wrecked was our joint favorite of all of the escape rooms - it was deeply immersive with music, sound effects, design, and thematic puzzles. We were impressed at the content density of the room and the energy as we played progressively escalated.

I keep thinking about some of these puzzles. The fun factor was there and the there were some creative aspects that I just keep thinking back on. There are so many things to do in the room that it is good for large groups. This room is very hands on. I loved the atmosphere in this room.

Wrecked was our first game at masterpiece and it didnβt disappoint. It was immersive, definitely had us on edge in a good way and the puzzles were cool. There was a twist in the room we didnβt see coming that really topped it off.
The game master was very attentive and knew where we were and the hints didnβt solve the puzzle but set us right
