I do wanna start by mentioning that about halfway through I realised I have played a version of this room already at Social Escape in Sydney so if you happen to be in the same boat, probably avoid this one. Apparently it’s the same room in Jindabyne as well. Back in the home of Sherlock, I obviously expected quite a lot of detailed cipher style puzzles. And boy did we find them. We did this room in a bit of a weird order (of our own mistake) and got a little lost at some points. Despite this it is a solid room, definitely one for the more attentive puzzlers as there were a few tricky solves. Oh I also liked the little digital direction lock, cool new spot.

My boy Sherlock in peril once again. For the world’s greatest detective he seems to love delegating his crime solving responsibilities. Baker Street Mystery was a clever albeit familiar room with exactly the sort of puzzles you’d expect with this kind of theme: deciphering, word-based puzzles and plenty of logical deduction. The content itself proved to be genuinely tricky but with the wonky multi linear flow, can feel really jumbled at times leaving players unsure as to what goes with what or how to progress. I understand Escape Room Albury purchased this room, so just a heads up, you’ll find the same (or at the least, very similar) design at both Social Escape in Sydney and Jindabyne Escape Rooms up the road. Not my favourite but a good room for experienced players.

Probably my favourite Sherlock based escape I’ve done. Loved the unique clues even if some of them went over our heads! A basic but quality room!
