It was a fun, I liked how it was a bit non linear so if you have a big group you can work on things separately

Your team of investigators has been conscripted by the CIA to investigate an alien artefact they've discovered. Sure, the artefact is doing strange things, but you'll have a non-malevolent, smart-ass AI to help you out. What could possibly go wrong?

Did Ex Libris the last time we were in Sydney 3 years ago, and had so much fun that we had to return to Next Level Escape. GM, Tyla, was high energy and enthusiastic. The room itself was full of a variety of puzzles, many of which were high tech, and others that were plain wacky solves (am I really doing this?)... all good fun though! Not particularly difficult (finished with 20 minutes to spare), but challenging enough. Until next time we're in Sydney!

This was a very enjoyable experience, our first in Sydney for this week away. Our GM (Zak?) was great and very enthusiastic. I love an experience that doesnβt use a walkie talkie for hints, and this room delivers in spades. The puzzles all flow well and all in all we had a great time.
This room flowed very well, with interesting puzzles that were all gated and signposted extremely well. My teenage sons did find the βAIβ a little bit corny, but as older teenage boys, theyβre too cool for that sort of thing.
Well decorated environment, which certainly worked well.

There were a couple of codes to work out, but also had some high tech components - a good mix.

The staff at this place are great, and add to the enjoyment of the experience. The room had various kinds of puzzles, which were interesting enough but not too difficult for a group of 3 - got out with time to spare and had a nice time.

First room we have played at next level and it was amazing! Every puzzle was great, and challenged your communication with your teammates. Our gamemaster, Simon, was a great storyteller and made the experience very immersive!
Simon was an awesome and passionate gamemaster!

Highly recommend. Great team of Game Masters and realistic puzzles. Not endless locks.

Artefact is definitely a fun room! Puzzles with high-tech elements add to the theme and are very interesting to solve. Everything makes sense and flows well. Part of a puzzle requires teamwork and is certainly hilarious. Players have to constantly interact with an AI which makes the experience unique to everyone. The set is great and nothing is worn off. Next Level definitely utilise their limited space well. Would recommend!

Ideal room if team work/communication is what youβre looking for. Meaghan was our GM and gave us a stellar experience- she never disappoints with the theatrics and maintaining mood throughout. The puzzles were very clever and the storyline was linear and clear. Sci-fi and adventure nerds will love the references throughout- this room paid homage to a lot of classics. Great GMs know how to spot and tap into a groupβs dynamics and Meaghan accomplished that in spades. One of our trioβs all time favourites.

Thank you Zach for being an amazing GM! Room was so much fun to do. Loved the light-heartedness and the nods towards games and pop culture =)

Very happy to be back at Next Level again for The Artefact, currently their highest-rated room on Morty, though somehow inexplicably was not one of the several Next Level rooms nominated for TERPECA this year. As usual, the GM played a significant role as an AI with jokes and funny one-liners, adding a lot of levity to the experience along with some humorous situations. Despite its space limitations (underground level of an office building), Next Level did a good job with the theming, offering a few very differently decorated areas that combined mostly hi-tech puzzles with only a handful of padlocks/keypads. The puzzles were challenging but not overly difficult, and despite struggling early we hit our stride and finished the room with 20 minutes to spare. It's a room where teamwork is necessary and important, and having four players definitely made things a lot easier. I would say everything in the Artefact was very solid β the theming, the creativity, the puzzles, and the flow ticked all the boxes β but nothing in particular really wowed us. On the whole, we had fun once again, and we look forward to tackling End of the Road next time.
