The magical world is full of good and evil people. The evil preys upon the fragile, and unfortunately that is why you're here. A student at the school for magical creatures has fallen victim to an evil curse. Her soul has been cursed to live inside of five items from her life and were scattered through the school by the new head mistress. You must look for clues in order to manuever through the hidden halls of the school to collect the pieces of her soul. Once you have retrieved them, you must complete a ritual in order to return them to her body.

I unfortunately was 10 minutes late to the room and due to time restrictions, my team members has started without me so I did not experience much of the first room. The set was pretty in line with all the other magic themed rooms and was obviously inspired by Harry Potter. Nothing wrong with that, just seem to be a lot of rooms with this theme around Sydney. There was a good mix of challenging puzzles within the room itself with a good mix of mechanical puzzles and padlocks littered throughout the room. There was issue with one of the mechanical puzzles. It was a music based puzzle and it just randomly started playing a bunch of notes even though none of us in the room were touching it. There was also a draw in the room that jammed and could not be pulled open which led us to think it was not meant to be opened but unfortunately it contained an important clue. The room is still solid but small issues prevented us from fully enjoying the room.

This was a solid wizardry room, blending good puzzles with great tech. There was a particularly memorable transition and a very impressive puzzle where tech was integrated perfectly. However, it lacked amazing theming and atmosphere, and one of the rooms was a bit dark which caused us to be stuck for quite some time.

Sounds scary but it’s really a magic room in the vein of Harry Potter. Quite a few locks and keys but also some really cool tech elements and transitions. We struggled again in one section due to dim lighting but managed to finish in around 36 minutes with 3 people.

Our final room and visit at the Church Street outfit, fresh off completing The Pharaoh's tomb, our team probably went in a little complacent. Unfortunately we did not succeed in time, but we were fortunately afford extra time to finish up and savour that moment. The Witch's Curse is arguably the best room aesthetically out of the Church Street venue rooms, and definitely leaning more on the harder side. I would estimate we were approximately 85-90% completed before we ran out of time with a team of 3, so would probably recommend 3-5 people to take on this adventure. Theming is excellent, every puzzle felt it belonged as part of the story and theming was very strong. There are no traditional padlocks style locks but instead there are a lot of locks with hidden mechanisms which particularly suited the theme as things appeared to happen “magically”. Overall great experience, awesome venue and another traditionally Scram-like room.
