Ransom

We loved the puzzle rich game with a multi-linear approach. Perfect for a small group with a bit of experience, to work together. The GM Mark was fantastic.

This room brought up 100 rooms for me, and I'm glad it was at Social Escape. Ransom is a really well themed experience with a unique start to the room. The puzzle flow is great and everything fits the theme well. Mark is an amazing host, and the stats you get at the end of the game are the icing on the cake to an excellent experience.

Ransom has fantastic brain-teasing puzzles, decor and clever transitions that made for a very entertaining experience. As always, Mark was an incredibly friendly and approachable DM, with a perfect balance of guidance and encouragement.

Social Escape delivers twists and turns within their puzzle-focused ‘Ransom’ escape room. With enjoyable transitions and a variety of realistic set pieces, ‘Ransom’ stands out as one of Social Escape’s best experiences. The rooms deliver thought-provoking, layered puzzles that are satisfying to work through and solve. The tension between difficulty and flow offers ample ‘a-ha!’ moments throughout ‘Ransom’. Puzzle fans—eat your heart out!

Social Escape Rooms are our favourite. They have so many clues and puzzles to solve in all their rooms. Ransom was fun with some really clever ideas and clues. Every single room at Social Escape Rooms has been amazing! We are so sad to have finished them all and can’t wait for a new one to be released! We highly recommend ALL of Social Escape Rooms! They are literally the best!!!

This is an exceptional room. There design of all puzzles has clearly had a tremendous amount of thought put into them. All puzzles with engaging, fun and relevant. The creativity used to create this room, made it a pleasure to play. The owner was very friendly and it was a pleasure to meet and chat to him about his business.

We absolutely loved the way Ransom unofficially began—it was such a unique and creative touch that set the perfect tone for the adventure ahead. While the experience is largely non-linear, there were a few bottleneck moments where we had to regroup, which provided opportunities for us to collaborate even more closely. The theming and props were top-notch, with every puzzle feeling logical and seamlessly integrated into the space. The room itself was visually impressive, showcasing great attention to detail in its design and layout. Ransom’s standout feature is undoubtedly its puzzles and game flow. With just the two of us, we were constantly on the move, working to solve a wide variety of challenges within the 60-minute time limit.

Our first visit to Social Escape was a great one! Ransom has a really cool beginning and a lot of cool and engaging puzzles. We were a little worried about the difficulty but ended up crushing it in under 38 minutes. The atmosphere and immersion could be a little stronger but we can't deny that it's a ton of fun. Will definitely be back to do the rest of their rooms.
