Headed out to Mystery Rooms to check out The Last Stand after playing a couple games here earlier in the year and it did not disappoint. Definitely a challenging room with some more left of field solves, I didn't find myself getting frustrated though and the solves proved satisfying once everything came together. Some moderate issues with story and how puzzles are connected to it but nothing too obscene. Staff were amazing, they were into the funny bits and banter and helped us move into the room we originally wanted after it became available at the same time. Overall a great time was had by all, plenty of content for our group of 6 to work on which can be a rare find.

The Mystery Rooms (Grimm Hq) was one of the best Escape Rooms in Melbourne when it first opened its doors. However, after a recent visit, it is with heavy heart that I can no longer recommend the rooms here for enthusiasts. When I played The Last Stand with my friends, there were reset errors, we were left waiting in the room for 5+ minutes with nothing to do because an essential props was left out when resetting and no staff was available to help us, we even walked out of the room and couldn't find a staff to help us. One of the puzzles in a later part of the game made no sense to our group of 6 experienced players, and they switched out one of the fun things in the room and made the ending less exciting. Even though a fun part of interacting with the GM is kept in there, the whole experience felt very disappointing and frustrating. :(
