The Time Machine [prev. A Steampunk Story]

Number 100! This was a solid room - the 45 minute limit sped by quicker than I anticipated but me and my partner were only caught up on one thing and got out no problem. We asked for a hint once as certain puzzles weren’t as one-to-one as others were but it wasn’t frustrating at all. None of this room made me “angry”, it was just plain, nonchalant fun about time.

We really wanted to love this room--the props and sets are wonderful and immersive. Unfortunately, the game had a malfunction that threw off everything and the GM didn't notice until we were quite far along. Plus, their idea of the 45 minute time is that the game is something for people to do while they wait for a Vegas show or something but it's too short. It's fun to be able to bring a drink into the room but the bartender wasn't in when we got there so we didn't get to try that aspect of it.

This was a difficult room for us. A few of the puzzles didn’t seem to flow. But the atmosphere and design was great!

Good room. Not a very large space. Some frustration from puzzles not quite working correctly. GM was able to step in and override still. The games here are only 45 min, cost more to be private, and are a three player min to be private.

It was kind of hard but we enjoyed it.

Went with a larger group, but I would say sweet spot for this room is five people max. There were times were a few of us were standing around as two or three completed a puzzle for us to move forward. That being said it was still a lot of fun with some really interesting puzzles. We finished the room with 23 seconds to spare! Mostly because of two puzzles where timing was everything that took us a little longer. Go check out this room! You won’t regret it.

This room was very frustrating! It’s only 45 min which is just not enough time. The beginning puzzles were fun but the final ones were just frustrating for our “enthusiast” group.

Definitely our favorite of the 3 rooms we tried.
