Permanently Closed - you will enter a cave in search of the lost treasure of famed Hook Hand Henry. It’s up to you to use his treasure map to get past his traps, and unravel the mystery of the Aztec curse that haunts the gold. This room can be played in a darker cave-like environment using artificial torches for light for a more immersive/spooky experience.

I hesitate to ever say that a game is outright bad but I did have higher hopes for the Escape 101 experiences. The whole experience was contained to one, quite small, room with props that seemed thrown together at best. The gameplay wasn’t terrible but there were often times we felt unsure of what to do and being that we were with people who had never played before, they looked to us for guidance when the game lacked cohesion. There was one point where we had to use a solid amount of force to knock bottles off of a wall because the method provided to us did not work. I’m willing to give them another chance and hope that this was a dud but please do not let this be the first escape room you do.
