This would have been a full ππΌ had we not had such a terrible game master who honestly forgot about us. There were a few moments where we were truly stuck and decided to ask for a clueβ¦ wellβ¦ those clues never came because our game master was just gone. Silent. Nothing. Not to mention when we first started this room, they didnβt set it up fully from the last group so we started in the final room unknowingly (door was open) and the game master came in, told us to put everything back, and had us restart. She was MIA for the rest of the game after that. Luckily we were able to figure it out on our end but frustrating experience over all.

Overall a frustrating room with a beautiful set. Sometimes with these chains, I wish they would bring in a good self-designed escape room company owner to give them some feedback. Small changes to clarify flow and story would make this a solid game. As is, itβs ok but skippable. There is a part where you put a non phone number into a phone despite having a phone number that is never used. So annoying. Also the final puzzle was frustrating instead of fun. Itβs a pretty set though!
Flow was an issue. Not enough breadcrumbs connecting solutions to locks, leading to my least favorite game of βput this 4 digit code into 3 locks until one hopefully opens.β
Beautiful room!
Some difficulty with getting relevant hints (they hinted something we already did a while before) but not bad. The front desk person was a little grumpy. But our moderator was very kind and welcoming.

Story was confusing for all of us. It felt like we accomplished the main task task of the story too easily. Then thereβs still tons of game left over. The set is so beautiful, the story could use some fine tuning.

By far my favorite experience at this location! This heist has unique in the types of puzzles and locations that you are involved in throughout the room. This non-linear experience had the best continuity between rooms and puzzles, with a lot of the puzzles being super satisfying to put together and finally complete. The final puzzle sequence was super fun to manipulate and even though it was finicky at times felt super satisfying to pull off.

This was a super cool room! I especially loved the atmosphere in the first room. Some very unique puzzles as well. Thanks, Rico, for a great experience!

Solid escape room with a good number and variety of puzzlesβincluding one puzzle mechanic we havenβt seen before in ~250 rooms, so thatβs always a positive! This was our favorite of the 3 rooms we did here (and perhaps our favorite room that day including 2 at another company), so I bumped the rating from what is objectively-speaking more of just a π to a β€οΈ. Would definitely recommend to beginners and enthusiasts alike. We did it as just 2 enthusiasts and got out in ~35 minutes with just one hint on something we admittedly shouldβve figured out and kind of saw on our own, but we were rushing because they had booked our timeslot incorrectly and we had to get through the room as quickly as possible to keep the schedule moving (which is NOT how I we like to experience escape rooms but we were left with no choice here). (Long story short: If you book in December for a room in February, the online booking system will show timeslots that wonβt actually exist in February because they run different holiday hours in December, and they canβt list different timeslots for December vs. February. Why on earth this would be the system design and how the manager/staff did not catch this issue for our bookings is beyond me. π€― At least they tried to help us rush through our rooms so we could still fit in all 3 bookings weβd madeβ¦ but it definitely marred our experiences with these rooms. And at least they gave us a gift card for the inconvenience, which was a nice gesture.)

It was ok I donβt like the click button clue because all we wanted was batteries for the flashlight and they gave us a clue. It was a cool room not as challenging as I wouldβve wanted.

Weβve done most of the rooms here. This one might beβ¦ second favorite? The design/theme is really fun, just donβt pay too much attention to the story haha. Sometimes the pacing seems off - you can collect lots of stuff, but only one puzzle matters at a time. And one puzzle was a little too ambiguous to interpret. But that being said, this room had some really great puzzles and we really felt like we were committing a heist. Staff was great. Place was clean and welcoming. The Gift is good for casual to experienced players.
Definitely some novel elements. But as with most Red Door games weβve done, the flow is questionable.
Loved the set design. Some fun props and everything felt true to the theme.
Welcoming front desk. They had to start us a little late, but they were super apologetic and nice about it. GM was great.
Yes
The puzzles were really fun and unique to the setting.
Not good. Not a good an intro video and even in the room, it was somehow worse. Donβt do this room for the story alone. But the actual game is fun.
Hard
Medium-Hard. Some real easy puzzles, a few that were difficult. It depends on your group.
Mechanical
Mostly mechanical with a few (really good!) tech elements.

This was a fun room. We failed the "Once Upon A Time" room earlier today (not even close to finishing it) so I was pretty nervous about attempting this room which has a higher difficulty rating. The good news is that with six players we were successful! This was my 18th game (13W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice. The other players in my group (4 adults, 2 tweens) have similar statistics. We played the Christmas version. The room was well decorated and the puzzles were fun. It was mostly non-linear so everyone had something to do.
The set design was really nice and everything appeared to be in working condition. Since we played the Christmas version, a few decorations were taped over the usual ones, but it did not detract from their function.
The design was nice. The puzzles were fun.
Our GM was nice (Melissa, I think?) and gave us nudges when she saw us stuck and hints when we asked.
Yes
I really liked two of the puzzles (one we needed a hint with though...)
The plot was cute and movement between the rooms was easy.
Hard
There were quite a few puzzles so more hands and brains is recommended. We had a few puzzles where one player would be confused and another would exclaim, "Oh! I know!"
Mechanical
I think it is actually split. There were quite a few traditional locks but also several tech-y tasks.

We played with a group of six and this was good for our experience level. This was my 18th game (13W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice. The other players in my group (4 adults, 2 tweens) have similar statistics. You need a minimum of three for one of the tasks.

It is in Fashion Valley Mall (with lots of covered parking and a food court)

The mall has ample free covered parking. One lot is directly across from the business. We did three rooms today, so we brought our dog and left her in the car during our games. We really appreciated the covered parking and grassy areas for the dog. The Green trolley also stops withing walking distance of the business (like, 500 ft away?)

This was our second room at Red Door and I look forward to playing even more when we travel to another city with their games. I would recommend the rooms at this company to anyone! Theyβre well made, flow well and super fun. The themes are unique and immersive.
