Amnesia Hoping to earn some extra cash, you have volunteered for an experimental drug trial. After taking the drug, you are told you will forget everything that has happened in the last hour unless you can locate the antidote. You’re not quite sure why, but things start to feel familiar. You start to suspect it is not the first time you’ve done this. How long have you been here? Will this be the time you finally get to the end or are you doomed to repeat the cycle forever…?

Accessibility note- sound and smell puzzles! Overall basic game flow with nothing crazy for puzzles, but also not to boring or repetitive. If you play a lot of games, it goes quick. If you’re new, it’s a great variety of intro puzzles.

We booked this one same day we visited two other rooms and honestly it was the worst of the three we did that day. It’s non-linear, which is fine but one of the puzzles is broken and is difficult to finish due to that and it caused us to sink a lot of time into nothing. This room has a good shell that needs a refresh to make it good again.

This room is difficult. It also reuses elements of early puzzles in later puzzles, which is very uncommon and really tripped us up. Also one of the electronic elements didn’t function as expected and that wasn’t clear until we burned a lot of time. It feels very different than their other rooms, and not on a good way.
Flow was okay but too many elements were used multiple times.

Another great room by Puzzle Effect! Once again, we enjoyed the multi-layered puzzles the most, but we loved the mix of different kinds of puzzles in this room that challenged you to use all of your senses and various types of skills. We ran into a small tech glitch, but it wasn’t a huge deal, and they fixed it before we left so we could try the puzzle anyway. They even gave us a small take-home prize to find once we solved that puzzle—great customer service! We played as 2 enthusiasts who used no hints and got out with about 15 minutes to spare. Of the three rooms we did here, this was my partner’s favorite and my 2nd favorite after Grim Stacks (though Curse on the Emerald Sea was also really great!).

Ok so the theme is a little weird because if I had amnesia and wanted to leave myself clues I probably wouldn’t make it challenging to figure out right? But setting that aside, this was an enjoyable room. My boyfriend and I did it ourselves and we were able to complete it with time to spare. Some of it felt a little challenging, which we prefer. One of the puzzles was not working that day but we didn’t know until the game was over and I asked about some signs I had seen. Overall, we enjoyed working our way through this one and would def recommend but it wouldn’t be on our “must do” list!

Decent room with mostly simple lock and key puzzles. We had a good time playing it but the theme/story wasn't especially interesting to me. The flow of the room was good and there were a variety of puzzles to solve using visual clues.

A very fun laboratory escape room! Some of the normal tropes were present, but there are also some unique puzzles that I had not experienced before! I also really enjoyed that some puzzles built on knowledge from previous puzzles in the room!
Good gameplay! Everything stayed on theme and some puzzles built on eachother which was very fun!
Atmosphere stayed on brand for the premis of the room, good design!
Treated very well by the front of house staff as well as the GM

Story was consistent throughout

I’m setting this as hard, because there were 6 of us and we only had three minutes remaining.

A couple high tech items, but a number of padlock style locks

We really enjoyed our experience playing. It was definitely a challenge but we appreciated our game master giving us an additional few minutes so we could escape!

It was awesome! Seems like a very minimalistic room at first but then you start and lots to do. Loved the challenges. Barely finished it in time.

Again, Puzzle Effect brings it with the layered solves. This room asks you for a great deal of abstraction and connection. While the theme is fairly simple, it’s executed well. There are a few wires and boxes that could have been hidden better, but overall, it fits the bill of a sterile test facility. There are certain elements that will see constant reuse in different ways. The puzzles are the star here, and that’s why it is such a great room. It’s 1st / 2nd Gen done well.
