Go West

Trying to get out of East Berlin and straight to West Berlin was an experience that I never thought I'd have. But I enjoyed it SO MUCH. The authenticity of the props was amazing, you could just stare at some aspects in awe. The story was fun and the riddles were well integrated and immersive. Definitely one of my favorite rooms at this company. Sadly, our gamemaster (who we also had for "Beast of Berlin") couldn't stop giving us unnecessary hints. We got hints for stuff we already solved in that second and weren't allowed to think about anything any longer than a minute. Funnily enough she was actually more reserved and patient in this room than in "Beast of Berlin", but it was still not a good experience gamemaster-wise. I think I would have enjoyed this room even more if we had gotten a better gamemaster that wouldn't have annoyed us with irrelevant and unwarranted hints. In the end we got out way too fast again, I would have loved being in this room a bit longer and just being able to soak it in. Would definitely recommend this room due to the fun of it and the authenticity and details. But I hope you'll get a better gamemaster :)

I am from West Germany and played this room with a person who grew up in East Germany - which added the fun of both of us pointing out things from our childhoods to each other. Loved the experience. But I think the game is also enjoyable for non-Germans who maybe don’t spot as many easter eggs but will nevertheless like the decoration, attention to detail and variety of puzzles and tasks in the room.

straight forward escape room. a bit too simple for people who did a lot of rooms. perfect for people with little experience. enjoyable and fun

The story is simple, yet effective: reach West Berlin before you're caught! The strength of this room is its décor and the ambiance it creates: you really feel back in the times of East and West Berlin. The way of giving hints is very interesting in this room, and only puts you more into the theme.

An absolute must play if you have a trip planned to Berlin! The room was so much fun and had so many immersive and fun riddles included that fit the theme perfectly for both sides (you'll get that if you play the room)! The hint system was also very well integrated and never interrupted the gameplay.

So much fun! Loved the theme and all of it was so immersive! Would recommend for experienced players and first-timers

Beautiful escaperoom from TheRoom Berlin. If u plan to do all of their rooms, start with this one. Its the most „basic“ one from them, what doesnt mean its bad, cuz its definitly not. Good riddles, not that hard, and a very nice ending

Go West is another great room from "The Room - Berlin". Of the 4 rooms this was my least favorite. But that doesn't mean it's bad! The Room-Berlin sets an incredible standard for escape rooms. Overall, the puzzles good (Medium Difficulty) only the theme didn't particularly impress me (Is definitely a "me" problem though ;P ). It felt more like a meme room than anything else. (Which is good!) There were many great moments, and the hint system in this room is the funniest I've encountered so far. The game masters were really great and accommodating. The introduction was excellent! 9/10 would recommend.

You can tell that Go West is the oldest room at the Room. But it will still be fun in 2024. The room, especially the second part, offers an incredible amount of 80s charm!
