“OMG! I loved this freaking room!! I loved everything about it! I was scared s*** but I had to face my fears in a couple of the rooms. If you go in a big group (6 or more) don't sacrifice yourself.... I strongly recommend this to anyone that loves any scary themes!”

“Heart for the ambition of the room, for the last 20 minutes being very inventive with great puzzles/structure and for the atmosphere of the space. Top notch as with the other large/long rooms here. However if we had gone with more than 4-5 people we probably would have had a more negative experience. As with the other large rooms, Omventure struggles with wanting you to bring a large group of people, but then constructing their physical spaces and puzzles so that only a small few can meaningfully participate at any given time. If you go with 4ish, maybe max 6, this is a really really enjoyable experience. Other slight suggestions that maybe are a more matter of personal taste: 1) not sold on the needing of live actor in there 2) one (optional) puzzle at the end felt a bit unfair and could use better signposting that earlier info might be important later.”

“One of the BEST, if not THE BEST escape rooms in the GTA. There are no puzzles, the entire room is based on logic. The gameplay and immersive feel is unmatched by any other company. We were so blown away!!! Definitely recommend !!!!”

“room was a ton of fun, much like the other rooms at this location it really makes you think outside the box there were a few parts we struggled with and that i’d argue were’t really our fault (some of the physical challenges) that being said i think this room overall was designed incredibly well and i would recommend it to any room enthusiasts 8/10 from me - the highs are HIGH, but the lows (albeit it very few of them) are low”

“Noriko is a great intro to a scarier escape room! We had a blast with some of the really unique elements in this multilevel room. We screamed, we laughed, it was a really fun theme with lost of great immersive details and surprises I have never seen in another room before or since! There were a couple puzzles that were not my favourite but overall if you are looking for a room that will keep you kn your toes, Noriko is a great choice!”

“I really enjoyed the mix of puzzles and theming in this space. The puzzles were challenging but reasonable and felt a sense of satisfaction/accomplishment when finished. As always with this company the set design is very immersive and sets the mood really well.”

“This is a big room with lots to do, the set design is graet with good flow and immersion. There is a wonderful twist that really adds to the experience! There are a few outcomes so if you like a good story this room is for you but if you want to escape a room by doing everything you could end up disappointed if you miss out on anything. Worth doing for sure”

“One of the hardest rooms I've done! And successful! The puzzles are unique and immersive. It feels non-linear (some back and forth). The best thing there are multiple puzzles to be done - no one is left waiting and watching. I do strongly recommend having the max (6 people). In the end, it does depend on the team you have and how well the team communicates.”

“Amazing escape rooms with off the charts originality! After over 250 escape rooms, we played Firefighter Rescue Mission and Volcano Views and both easily landed in our top 10. If you're in the Toronto area, this is definitely worth the trip to Mississauga. Thanks, Carly!”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
