The Great Loudini
Escapable - Thornes Lane Wharf
Escape room
IRL
This was by far our favourite escape room, and one we’d kept for our 100th and were so glad we did. The game is every bit impressive as is made out by previous reviews, and we loved the immersive nature of the magic and it left us completely flabbergasted at times wondering how. The best experience and Tom was fantastic. The game itself outside of the magic was great too, a real mix of classic puzzles and interactive ones.

If you haven’t done this room… GO AND DO IT! We’d heard a lot about UI-55 and the accolades and it really was worth the hype. You don’t appreciate just how big the room is and there’s so much to do in there. The good thing about it is the mixture of puzzles, the high tech nature of the room and that you can break off individually and accumulate a lot of the collection codes etc. The set design and attention to detail was amazing and the hour flew by. Amazing collection based game and one of our favourite rooms we’ve done. We spoke to the owner of compendium who built the room and even the story of it being built shows how passionate they are there which shows in the gameplay and how enjoyable the rooms are. We managed 52 bags as a team of 2!
Outatime - Through the Decades

Amazing room, loved the set and the different eras. Variety of different puzzles, not overly hard but a really good, well thought-out themed room.
Grimm Up North
Enigma Live Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
This game was one of our favourites we’ve done, with a good mix of puzzles and standard locks and interactivity. There were lots of unique elements to the room, the story was excellent, rooms decor was great and lots of other bits that differentiated this from a standard escape room. Our GM was also fantastic. We did this as a team of 2, 3-4 players would be ideal given the additional goals beyond escaping.

We love the compendium rooms. This was the first one we did of 3 in one day. There was a lot of different puzzles but plainly padlocks which was really authentic and classic escape room. Set design was brilliant and attention to detail and smells was impressive. Well thought out puzzles that flowed really well and made for a really good game. Big shout out to our games master Luke who made the day as good as it was

Another great room. The room isn’t huge and we managed to escape with a lot of time to spare as a group of 2, but it was still a fun room with a mixture of tech and classic lock puzzles and teamwork needed to solve some of the clues and being in different parts of the room. Everything flowed together very well which was a feature of all the rooms we did at compendium
Prank Heist
Escapable - Thornes Lane Wharf

Really fun collection-based escape room. We were initially worried the room would be too child orientated but the puzzles were good fun and the time pressure of collecting items made it more challenging and turned out to be a really enjoyable room. Great for groups of 2-4
The Chocolocked Factory
Locked In Games Leeds

Great game! Set design was very well done and a good mix of classic lock and interactive puzzles. Not as easy as it looks and can be fooled by thinking it’s a children game - very much still a challenge for 2 adults!
Frankenstein
Breakout Newton Street
Escape room
IRL
The game itself wasn’t bad, but nothing hugely special and some of the puzzles didn’t quite flow. Lots more to do in the second room than the first, but not one of our favourite rooms and least favourite of the breakout ones we’ve done.
