Sal's CyberneticsThe Immersive MachineEscape roomIRLThis is one of my all time favorite experiences. The puzzles were fun and clearly communicated. The atmosphere was created beautifully. The immersion was completely perfect. I don’t want to say anything more about the room, but we WILL be doing back once the new experiences are open. I will never forget you Crumbz, and I hope you find love someday.
EVIL RobotsThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLThe atmosphere on this room is absolutely top notch. I could have used with some sort of captioning on the video as there is a lot of music and voice happening at the same time. The final puzzle was a bit wonky with the controls, but all in all a great experience possibly carried by the amazing design. Will be trying the other two rooms.
The Isle of WonderThe Greatest EscapeEscape roomIRLAbsolutely loved this room. It's one of my favorites. Without a ton of spoilers, this room isn't linear. We went in with 5 people and it felt like everyone was always doing something. No waiting around or stalling for time while someone else is finishing a puzzle. Big area, amazing immersion, and the music was fun without being distracting. Also, always more fun when you're group sets the all time record :)
Diamond QuestParanoia Quest - TempeEscape roomIRLThis room was a bit mixed for me. The immersion was absolutely top notch, and I loved how it felt in the room. The lobby puzzles that ultimately didn't matter and were busy work led to some stress among my group before going in. There was so much running around between members who thought the waiting tasks mattered, though that could be an issue with our group. In the room, there was a little bit of waiting around while a puzzle got solved where team members couldn't do much other than wait. The puzzles themselves were fine. Ultimately the room looked and felt amazing, and I loved how tactile the puzzles were, but it felt a little lacking at the end of the day.
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLThis was an amazingly fun room. The staff warned us that it was meant for more people, we had a group of 3, but got out with a few hints and barely any time to spare. This is a HUGE room with a TON of puzzles. I love the puzzle heavy rooms. Each "class" in school has an associated puzzle and you've gotta work together to solve them all. Great room. Puzzle dense. Very heavy.
Museum Of History: HeistThe Greatest EscapeEscape roomIRLAbsolutely loved this room! My favorite room with a heist theme. The atmosphere was amazing. Doesn't hurt that we got the all time record. What a great way to end the year.
Mission: MarsThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLThis room was a mix of good and unfortunate. Nothing was bad, just technology that didn't work. There were multiple times we had the right combinations of numbers, but due to the nature of how those numbers interacted, we were told to "try wiggling it around again" and the dials didn't respond great or lights didn't work... just some stuff like that.
