The Cabin 2.0New Mexico Escape Room - McLeod LocationEscape roomIRLWe had so much fun!! The puzzles were varied and clever. The fear factors were also varied- visual, auditory, interactive, and a few jump scares. The size of this room is surprising and impressive, and the clues come in such creative ways! Ok - now THIS is my favorite room in town!
Blackwell ManorNew Mexico Escape Room - McLeod LocationEscape roomIRLOne of my favorite rooms in all of Albuquerque! The set feels huge. Much of the story is linear, and while I usually prefer a more open adventure, this one was extremely well crafted. While I love a scary escape room, this was only medium-scary - perfect to drag along friends who are a little more mainstream!
Escape JumanjiBust Out Escape Room - PaseoEscape roomIRLOne of the best I’ve done! Very immersive! The atmosphere was perfect and varied to align with different parts of the story. If you’ve ever wanted to actually play Jumanji, this is the closest you’ll get!

Rattlesnake BendBust Out Escape Room - PaseoEscape roomIRLTons of sensors involved in this room, and everything worked really smoothly! The atmosphere is great, you feel like you’re in a small cowboy town; however, it also felt pretty sterile. There were very few decor elements that weren’t used in puzzle solving, so finding the clues felt pretty simple. Excellent theatrics though!
Camp Crystal LakeBust Out Escape Room - San MateoEscape roomIRLThis was so much fun! Just the right amount of scare along with great puzzles. I can see how some of the scare factors could slow down a team, but since it didn’t really affect us, we could have used a few more puzzles! The puzzles were fantastic, and the clues were truly clever!
BombshellNew Mexico Escape Room - McLeod LocationEscape roomIRLSO immersive! This room had an incredible story and the effects were amazing!! The puzzles weren’t too difficult, but the experience was a TON of fun!
Duel at DuskNew Mexico Escape Room - McLeod LocationEscape roomIRLEven though this was one of the easier rooms we’ve done, there were still some really inventive puzzles to solve. Lots of teamwork involved! Very immersive storyline and atmosphere!
Nefertari's TombNew Mexico Escape Room - McLeod LocationEscape roomIRLWe go to escape rooms for the variety of puzzles, not just to translate. Almost all the puzzles rely on transliteration, not cleverness. Also, we were somewhat uncomfortable by the idea that we were playing grave robbers (who are directed by a German-sounding man wearing a vaguely military-styled uniform). 😬
Doomsday The BunkerBust Out Escape Room - San MateoEscape roomIRLMath warning!! Be aware that you will need to do some very basic algebra (which I LOVED, but may be off putting to some). The atmosphere was fantastic. While the story wasn’t particularly unique, it was *very* well done.
