Ruins: Forbidden TreasureThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLOverall, my experience was not worth the money ($37 / person) due to the poor execution of the room and booking experience. The room itself was amazing, and if everything worked as intended, this might be my favorite escape room out of the 19 I’ve done. Unfortunately, 4 people were added to the room after my group already reserved 4 of the spots. So naturally, most of us stood around while a couple people solved the puzzles, not necessarily because they were domineering but because the space was pretty tight. We broke out in 35 minutes, so we didn’t really get our money’s worth. Moreover, the screens weren’t working, so we didn’t get the full plane crash-landing experience in the first room. This is tied for the worst escape room experience I’ve ever had. I highly discourage any escape room owner from allowing any additional extras in a room that’s already been booked for 4 spots; it totally ruined the experience for most of us.
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLReally fantastic execution of a time travel-themed room. They do a really great job of using electronic screens throughout the room to give the impression that you’re moving to different time periods throughout history without using a ton of space. This is one of the best escape rooms I’ve done out of 17 rooms. Only complaint is it’s a little too linear; I.e. for most of the room, the group can only work on 1-2 puzzles at a time. They make up for this by making the puzzles easier to solve with multiple people.
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - ColumbiaEscape roomIRLReally professional look. Fun theme and story. Incorporated a good amount of elements from the show. Not my absolute favorite escape room, but one definitely worth going to if you watched scooby-doo as a kid.

The ShedMastermind Escape Games - AugustaEscape roomIRLPros: unique jump scares; use of power tools that fit the theme; the layout and puzzles definitely gave off a creepy, sickening vibe Cons: red herrings, using the same objects multiple times, needing an object in a future room to solve a puzzle in the current room
Bank HeistMastermind Escape Games - AugustaEscape roomIRLThis room lives up to the expectation of difficulty. Due to the amount of puzzles and red herrings, it’s very challenging. As for the aesthetics, the beginning of the room feels realistic, but the ending is disappointing; it’s a room filled partially with safety deposit boxes and wallpaper with more safety deposit boxes. The boxes feel more like a nuisance and overwhelming than anything. I wish the room was more free flowing rather than linear. I was also disappointed that the money you picked up along the way didn’t have a pay off.
