Jungle Safari
Enigma Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
There’s barely any set design, and the game primarily consists of locks. The board game element is the only highlight. The second room is quite empty, and as a group of four, we finished 20 minutes early. When the door opened, no one greeted us, leaving us confused about whether we had completed the game. We had to walk to the front desk to confirm.

The setting is relatively dim but not scary. The space is large, with detailed scenery and multiple rooms. There’s a good balance between locks and mechanisms, and the puzzles are well-integrated into the theme without feeling out of place. There’s background music and some lighting changes. The GM closely monitors the progress and provides hints when needed. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

The board game-style gameplay is quite innovative. The puzzles are on the easier side. As a group of four, we had 18 minutes left. The last room, in particular, was a large space with only two puzzles. I would recommend 'Graveyard' more.

The set design is still top-notch; the 'Train to Busan' theme is very cool and attractive. The NPC chasing was fun and not too scary for us. There were fewer puzzles compared to 'Motel Betty,' and there were too many padlocks.

Amazing set design, immersive experience, and many cool props. However, the puzzles are quite similar and often rely heavily on memory skills.

A bit small for 4 people. On the easy side.

Staff is super friendly. The set design is quite mediocre, with mostly lock-based puzzles. However, there is one puzzle requiring teamwork that is interesting. Overall, it's similar to Trapped.

The set design is colorful and cute. There are many multi-step puzzles, which made it challenging and sometimes hard to keep track. It’s quite difficult for a group of two. We didn’t make it to the end but still had fun.

Played it in 2022. It was very boring for two people and often left us confused about what to do next. The set design was plain, with not much to explore.
Dark Altar

Escape room

I heard that Dark Altar was recently upgraded, so I quickly joined my friends’ team to give it a try. Let me start with the conclusion: for a basic escape room, having six experienced people is too many given the difficulty level and space—we finished 16 minutes early. The plot revolves around thwarting an evil ritual. As I have played 8 rooms at Omventure, the puzzles look familiar to me: find patterns, enter passwords; solve logic puzzles forward and backward, each room contains about 2-3 puzzles. There isn’t much reading involved, not much audio, no videos. There were a few moments where it seemed like a big reveal was coming, but it never did. The game ended with a noise that sounded like a vacuum cleaner, and everyone walked out saying: "That's it?" As for the comparison between the new and old versions, I haven’t played the old version, but according to a recap by our gamemaster, the final room’s setting was upgraded, and a puzzle was added that linked several previous rooms together. The promotional photos on Instagram really caught my eye—they cleverly captured the most exciting parts of the room and gave the illusion that the space was much bigger.
