The House On Clinton Road
Fairfield Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
The puzzles are quite obvious. There are some fun moments in the game to enhance the ambiance.
Gold Rush
The Escape Game
Escape room
IRL
Very well-themed room with fun puzzles. However, the game master was "too generous" on the hints which dumbed down the puzzle-solving experience.

The set was well made to set the scene. The game was long so game player needs to pace it well and not spend too much time on one part. One important prop was turned off and interfered with the flow of the game.
Mystical Manor
Brighton Asylum
Escape room

The set and decoration of this room is very thematic. Players need to use headsets to hear the sound effect due to the way the room is built. The room has an open ceiling and sounds from the adjacent room can be easily heard. The headset works well though and was never an annoyance. The puzzles are fun. Some are easy and some are quite hard to figure out due to the lighting in the room. The game master guided us with just enough clues so the answer is not that obvious.

Went with my spouse and two kids (14 and 11). The puzzles were not hard. The game master Brianna was very good at guiding us. It is a fun room for family with children. There is not a lot of space. Four people would be good size.
The Locker Room Trailer
Amazing Escape Room - Montclair/Bloomfield
Escape room
IRL
The room is in a mobile trailer. We had to keep the door open for fresh air. The puzzles are harder. We played two rooms back-to-back that day and this was our second room. We probably would like this room better if it was our first room.

It was a fun room. The puzzles are fun - a mix of locks and interactive puzzles. Difficulty is easy - intermediate.
A Christmas Story
Brighton Asylum
Escape room

I wish there is a "in between" option in addition to thumb-up and thumb-down. I am the only person in my party who have seen the "The Christmas Story." So this room can be fun for nostalgic reason to the big fans. Players are required to wear headsets for the sound effect as the room does not have a ceiling. Conversations of players in the next room can be heard clearly without wearing the headsets. The puzzles are not very difficult. One equipment malfunctioned so we were not able to retrieve an important item that is needed to solve the game. The Game Master bypassed that part of the puzzle to allow us to retrieve the item to solve the game. The room was built 6 months ago so it is hard to believe that some equipments are already broken. A member in my party accidentally triggered an equipment in the room and made the clock stopped with 17 minutes left in the game and tons of puzzles unsolved. The Game Master resumed the clock to let us finish the game.

**If you get there early and have to wait for the previous party to finish the game, WAIT IN THE CAR!! DO NOT WAIT IN THE HALLWAY because you would hear all the clues and spoil the fun ** It was a fun room with spooky atmosphere. There was no blood nor gory scenes though. The puzzles were not difficult. The “room” has an open ceiling so sound from outside of the room could easily be heard. Luckily we were the only party in the warehouse so we were not affected by background noises. Not sure how our experience would be if we went during the busy Halloween season. Some important props were not well maintained and would interfered with the flow of the game.
