Chapter 1: Occam's ApartmentOff The Couch GamesEscape roomIRLThe room was definitely a different experience than I have had from an escape room in a while. We booked back to back rooms so as soon as we finished this one, we were led in character straight into the next one which was both exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. There were many super fun technological automations in the room and hidden things to find. My team spent a long time just chatting with our live actor just for fun which made for a pleasant experience when the rest of the room was on and off giving us an ever increasing sense of gloom which really set the atmosphere.
Chapter 3: The MorgueOff The Couch GamesEscape roomIRLWhile the theme of the room is basically "Blood, Gore, and Beyond", the tone of the room was almost comedic which really elevated the sadistic nature of our whole situation. The puzzles were on point and whole point system we were working with in the room added an extra layer of something to keep track of.
Chapter 2: Norcross Art GalleryOff The Couch GamesEscape roomIRLI really enjoyed solving the puzzles in the room, especially since they tapped into the different aspects of things you would find in an art gallery.
Revenge Of MedusaClockwise Escape Room - PleasantonEscape roomIRLOur team of 7 blew through the room but had a great time doing it. While I missed a good amount of the puzzle work my team did, the puzzles I did solve were interesting and fun. There were a couple of puzzles where the inputs seemed unclear if we did it right but ultimately they worked out. Game masters were super pumped with our performance.
Jack the Ripper – Solve the MysteryOdyssey Escape Game - SuwaneeEscape roomIRLOn the harder side of rooms with the sheer amount of information that is thrown at you at a certain point. But it was a lot of fun breaking that pile of info down and sorting them out into their respective puzzles. A simple set but nicely immersive and the game guide and owner were very friendly and helpful throughout the game.
Elf AcademyHint Hunter Puzzle RoomsEscape roomIRLNice simple room with fun puzzles. A lot of physical locks were used but it was clear which lock was matched with which puzzle.
AuroraLocktopia Escape RoomEscape roomIRLAfter doing some of the other rooms at the location, I like that this room has taken what is successful in the other rooms and polished up what was lacking. There was a lot less of a logical gap to complete puzzles. Though the room did break halfway through, they offered for us to play a different room to make up for it. We ended up playing the rest of the room later and we were glad we did as the latter half of the room was a lot of fun compared to the first.
