Scavenged SoulsScavenged SoulsHauntHaunted houseThe downside of this being a charity event is that there's no way to pay extra to skip the line–so bring something on your phone or watch so you can accomplish something while waiting. But everything else is an upside. It's amazing what they've done with the available space. It's obviously not *huge*, but is more expansive than we anticipated, and a better experience than many paid attractions. Each group actually has ample space in which to be scared, rather than the prevalent common conveyor-belt style experience where every potential scare is telegraphed by the group in front of yours.
The Manor: Winters EstateFolklore Haunted HouseHauntHaunted houseIMPORTANT! Smells like a toilet from Silent Hill. (Could be intentional but I think it's just because of the creepy old building Folklore obviously doesn't have the funds to properly sanitize.) Wearing a mask: highly recommended! Standard haunted house fare. Overpriced for the short length, but no more so than most any other. We've lived nearby for several years and finally checked it out. I'm not sorry we visited. But I also don't feel like I was missing anything by not having gone earlier. Has a couple standout set pieces, but nothing I'd travel for. Friendly staff, scare actors seemed into their job.
