Rugrats: Search For The Losted ToysThe Escape Game - King of PrussiaEscape roomIRLThis was my first escape room- the one that started it all- and it was very nostalgic & cute! The decor was very applicable to the overall theme- some of the props looked like they came right out of the show which was exactly what I was hoping for, many references from the show were used in the rooms and some of the puzzles helped you feel like you were one of the babies! We had quite a large group because it was a public game, so there were a lot of different intelligences & personalities working on the puzzles but overall everything flowed well from room to room. The puzzles were also very interactive and there was quite a variety- sorting things, some things were hidden that require you to search the room & some to find patterns, some had to be ‘put together’ (I’m trying not to spoil anything), and some required more of a Co-op approach to accomplish a certain goal which I thought was very clever, etc. * It wasn’t very physically demanding but of note, there were some incidences where you would have to be able to crawl and climb on things.* I’m sure the staff alerts groups about this as well. Overall, I’ve done about 18 other escape rooms since I’ve done this one and looking back on it, it was still very well done and fun! I would also say that this is an easier room as well, I’m glad I started with this one! I would definitely recommend trying this, especially if you’re a Rugrats fan!
Temetra's HexEscape Hour Point RustonEscape roomIRLEscape Hour really has outdone themselves. The staff is super friendly (and their acting is great). They really helped the experience feel more immersive and they don’t break character. The hints they provide are only when warranted and they’re very well given. The decor and props are so well done and creative (I’m honestly still hoping for a plushie/ more merch of some of the characters). Everything contributes to the overall theme very well down to the scent of the room! The locks and gadgets needed for the puzzles are well explained and the overall flow of the puzzles go really well! There is also really creative use of co-op activities so you can work more closely with the members of your group (it also helps that this is a private experience). The time for the amount of puzzles is appropriate- my group of 3 used hints and we got everything In the last few moments but they all made sense. I can imagine this would be a very tough room depending on how ‘seasoned’ a group is but the staff is great with assistance. Of note, as their website states as well, in terms of physical demands,there are some instances where you will need to climb/ crawl, & raise your arms (for anyone with shoulder issues ) but I’m sure the staff would be more than happy to assist. Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience and they really set the bar high! You can tell a lot of thought and care has been put into creating this experience.
