What have I done? Room #23 of our USA/Canada trip and the main reason we're here. The one, the only Magnifico! Once again, we stayed spoiler-free. We knew nothing of the story, hadn't seen a photo or anything of the set, we were ready to be completely swept away. With this room, it's important to stay spoiler-free so you can go into it with a completely blank slate. What Escaparium has created here is truly extraordinary. Wow, wow, wow. This was so amazing! Magical, spectacular, intimate, special, imaginative, emotional—many words come to mind. What a journey this was. The set design was exceptionally good in most respects! I truly marveled at the world, sometimes just standing around, taking it in and noticing the details. There's so much love and passion in the room, and you can feel it. The music is also excellent and perfectly matched the grandeur of the room. I understand what some people say about the sound, but I didn't find it distracting and could hear almost everything perfectly. There aren't many puzzles, and you often watch scenes. I personally love this, and it leans more towards immersive theater. And then the actors, holy shit, they were so good! They were brilliant, and I often watched with goosebumps. I still get goosebumps when I think back on those moments. The ending was incredibly powerful and brought tears to my eyes. The actors created such a connection with the characters that I felt truly moved by the story. Magnifico is something special. You might like the theme, but I'm not necessarily a fan of circus themes, but I enjoyed it here. You also have to let go of the puzzles (if that's your thing). Sure, they're in it, but the connection with the actors is far more important. I think this is definitely one of the best things I've ever experienced. Things like this are special, and it feels that way. You feel like you're experiencing something truly special. As my girlfriend always says: those people are acting just for us; everything that happens during the performance is just for us. And the fact that it's so beautiful has a profound effect on you. Afterward, I spent a long time talking with the actors and owners, and the actors told me they liked us so much because we played along with them and sought out interaction. So definitely do that when you perform, because it only makes it better. Magnifico, I understand why he's number one at Terpeca and why it resonates with people. Let yourself be amazed and step into the world of Magnifico. It's beautiful, magical, emotional, and it will stay with you for a long time.

Deep Inside

So we were the first people ever to get the ultimate Deep Inside experience by playing all three games back-to-back. Wow!! And man, this is truly one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. After surviving The Magician of Paris and The Funhouse, we were allowed to go on to The Taxidermist. I'm going to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, of course, but wow. What's been created here is unbelievable. The set at Deep Inside is truly ridiculously beautiful. True Disneyland level (the owner told me afterward that they also collaborate with Imagineers, so that explains it). This world is so alive! Truly immersion next level. There was a moment when we looked down the street and saw three residents living their lives. They talked to each other, shared stories, without us having anything to do with it. And if they ran into us? They'd chat with us and maybe tell us something they were going to do, and then it was up to us whether we wanted to go along or not. It was truly amazing. And suddenly The Magician was standing in front of us again and he really remembered who we were, so cool! Okay, The Taxidermist. We entered his shop looking for something, and what followed was one of the best, most beautiful, and most emotional stories I've ever encountered. By the end of the room, I was shedding a tear from all the emotions they evoked—wow! The shop is truly breathtakingly beautiful; take your time to soak it all in, because everything here is perfect. Every detail has been carefully considered. Then there's the acting: as I mentioned, the city is alive, and I've become a true fan of its inhabitants. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard (perhaps in Jumanji in Athens) as I did here. They were so engaging with us; we and they were completely engrossed. And then there's The Taxidermist, wow! I've rarely seen a character come to life so much and an actor so completely immersed in their role. Goosebumps!! I felt it all over my body. The story was fantastic and deeply moving. Add to that the fantastic sound, lighting, and effects. Seriously, please play this! Yes, I think this has easily become my new number one room. I really see it as the whole of Deep Inside combined, including Funhouse and Magician, because we were in this world for almost four hours and were truly immersed in it. I've never encountered the magic these people have created before. You can feel the passion of the creators, and the actors make this world so alive. I would go back in right now to discover other stories the inhabitants have to offer. We couldn't stop talking after playing this. This game will keep me occupied for weeks, if not months. This is how it's done; it's truly perfection. One of the owners was there and talked us through everything at length afterward. What passion, what vision! People should play this to see what's possible. Deep Inside is truly special; the immersion they offer is next-level in every way. The owner said that this part of the City of Martyrs has now been discovered, but perhaps there will be other openings to the city in Paris in the future. If so, I'll be right there! In 2026, they want to offer the three rooms in one game (they want to do it very differently from what we've done now), and when that opens, I can't wait to return to this beautiful city with its wonderful inhabitants.
