Winnie The PoohMindTrap Escape Room - MurrietaEscape roomIRLWinnie the Pooh has climbed near the top of our favorite escape room list. Very immersive and a fantastic story. We had 3 (2 adults and a 13 yr old), and madenit out with 16 minutes to spare. I really liked how non-linear the room was, which allows us all to work on separate puzzles or communicate across the room. Just plain fun!!! Our game master, Dante, did a great job. Unlike many rooms we have done, there was no "clue" button. Dante had a few very simple nudges to ensure we didn't get stuck on minor items, which weren't really part of the puzzle.
Gold RushThe Escape Game - Las VegasEscape roomIRLSuch a great room. We did several on our trip to Vegas, and this ranked at the top for our family of 3. The staff here is fantastic. We did 4 rooms here and really enjoyed how friendly the staff was. We were very strategic as to when we arrived and booked, so that we did each room privately (this is a must for us). With the number of rooms, it's easy to make it happen. This specific room stood out to us. The puzzles and story flowed well, and the overall ambience matched the story as we progressed through. Very unique surprises throughout. This is a must do if you are looking for a place on the Vegas strip.
Dr. FrankensteinMonster Quest Escape RoomEscape roomIRLHats off to the to the game master who was in character from the time we knocked on the front door. He was really fantastic! The room was very immersive and there was a story line throughout, which helped guide the way through the puzzles. The gm was very engaged and knew where we were at every step. Unlike many places, we were not asked if clues should be provided prior to requesting. We typically like to request clues as they often come too quickly and take away from the experience. A lot of what gets us through puzzles later in the game are found while struggling through a tough puzzle early. The gentle nudges, while in character, fit right along side the puzzles themselves. Unfortuantly my family felt like it was a bit too much hand holding. Although I really enjoyed the room, my family felt it was just OK for the higher cost so we didn't book the other rooms on this trip.
Witch HouseBlack Cats Number One Escape Room [prev. Number One Escape Room]Escape roomIRLAfter completing the Cabin /Shed, we booked this room the following day with a 50% off coupon we recieved from getting the bonus puzzle. My main negative about this place is the sheer lack of personality and care from the staff. It's as if they would rather you not be there. They (she) was not very aware of our game either. The portion of the welcome video glitched and continued to loop throughout the game, making it difficult to hear anything else. With that said... The initial video is fun and unique. We did have one piece that wasn't reset, but it was obvious, so we just pretended that it was and laughed when we solved the puzzle for it. Nicely decorated room with lots that could throw you off. We went back in to complete the bonus puzzle which we only got from the clue given to us upon reentry. Not sure we would have solved it otherwise. Overall, not as good as the Cabin but a decent room and worth the experience (if you can get past the unhappy and disengaged staff)
