Medieval MadnessPanIQ Room - Logan SquareEscape roomIRLJaden was a great gamemaster for us during Medievil Madness, providing just the right amount of help needed to get us in the right direction. Love seeing people that genuinely enjoy their job. :D The room was very immersive and modern, with very little traditional “lock & key” puzzles. I was really impressed with the creativity of certain puzzles, utilizing all sorts of senses and intellect so each of our party had a role they could find pride in! Gamemasters here are very chill and informative, not pressuring you at all and only chiming in when necessary. We never felt like they were ever “giving” us the answers, which I find rare in escape rooms sometimes! I also liked all the props that different rooms needed to make you feel more incorporated into the room. I’ve done a lot of escape rooms all over the country and this one definitely makes my top 5! Well done!
Mission: MarsD.O.A. Room EscapeEscape roomIRLProbably the best 30 minute escape room I’ve done! I loved the incorporation of using walkie-talkies to communicate with the game master. Some fun, unique puzzles. I haven’t seen before we’re here, and the immersion to make you feel like you’re actually a little astronaut in navigating Mars was really fun.
TH3 C0D3Escapology - Verona WIEscape roomIRLBy far, one of the weakest and most embarrassing escape rooms I’ve ever played. This poor thing is ROUGH to say the least, and it’s a little shameful that they don’t spend any time trying to touch it up or fix any of the broken stuff that people have destroyed over the years. One of our puzzles towards the end just straight up, broke and a couple of employees had to come into the room and fix it in front of us for a while. One of the most glaring things that I noticed was the fact There is a literal number puzzle in the room where you need to identify different numbers. It’s incredibly negligent that they left the stickers on an IKEA cabinet that have numbers on them for the different parts of the cabinet. No one bothered to peel those off, really? There’s an utter lack of caring for this room, to the point where it should just be hollowed out and made into something else at this point. There was also a “puzzle”at the end that required very old knowledge of something that young people just don’t know. I don’t want to spoil it, but I thought it was a hilariously anti-climatic ending. It’s not even technically a puzzle at the end.. just busy work. Come on. 😂
TitanicD.O.A. Room EscapeEscape roomIRLWhat a fun experience! All of the puzzles were different, yet fair. Our host “Natalie” was very courteous and friendly in letting us discover everything on our own, and helping to clarify things that were confusing. Never felt rushed or ignored. I especially liked how the music got more dramatic once the time started running low. Honestly, one of the best escape rooms I’ve done! Will be back to play more. Highly recommended!!
Twister: The Blackout ExperienceD.O.A. Room EscapeEscape roomIRLThis is one of the best rooms I’ve done honestly! Super unique, charming, aesthetics, and multi layered types of puzzles. I’ve never done before that felt satisfying and rewarding! Honestly, all of these rooms get major props for aesthetic alone, but I think this one is definitely my favorite of the bunch! A must-play for escape room enthusiasts!
7 Deadly SinsEscapology - Verona WIEscape roomIRLWe played this room when it was brand new, and I was incredibly disappointed with how many logic leaps were needed to solve puzzles on your own without help from a gamemaster. It was just too convoluted for satisfying gameplay. The ambience and theme is definitely a lot better than some of their older rooms, but that’s about it. They really cram a lot of incredibly difficult puzzles in a 1 hour time span, so don’t be shy about asking for help!
