Sal's CyberneticsThe Immersive MachineEscape roomIRLWHAT A DELIGHT. A must-do room. Great, fast-paced puzzles, full of humor, and the best hint mechanism ever. And a special treat to have co-creator as GM. Thank you, Kay for the extra convo!
The Isle of WonderThe Greatest EscapeEscape roomIRLHoly crow! What an in-depth room full of multi-step puzzles. Challenging for our team of 2 with slighted fried, end-of-trip brains. Two puzzles had Bev flat out blanking out. But GMs were nice enough to give us extra time and a couple last nudges to complete the experience.
Inventor's AtticEscape My RoomEscape roomIRLBy the time we did this room, multiple puzzles were so worn down we were unable to solve them. Definitely too dimly lit for middle aged eyes. Total bummer, because clearly a lot went into the inventive design.
Duke's Farm60 to Escape - GurneeEscape roomIRLWhat a perfectly normal farm. ;^) First thought a farm theme might be "kiddie." Nope. Great room, great challenges. Definitely recommend.
Grim Stacks: Books & BindingPuzzle Effect - PhoenixEscape roomIRLWent here on a post-Fry Bread House whim. Very solid room, well executed. If you a lock snob (i.e. you prefer other kinds of puzzles), this room won't make you swoon.
French Quarter House Of CuriositiesClue Carré - New OrleansEscape roomIRLThe team at Clue Carré was a standout. Lots of joy. The 2 of us had a delightful time in the room with the theme and look forward to going back to do more rooms there.
The MobPanIQ Room - Fulton MarketEscape roomIRLSolid room, but wasn't a standout for us. Looked to be designed for larger groups of tourists with spread out puzzles in large spaces and Chicago theme.
John DoeEscape Games NYCEscape roomIRLGood mix of puzzle types, good ambiance. Theme was spooky but no jump scares.
Voodoo SpiritsPanIQ Room - Fulton MarketEscape roomIRLSolid variety of tactile and visual puzzles. Not terribly unique theme, but good execution of it.
The BunkerFox in a Box ChicagoEscape roomIRLVery first escape room experience! Team of 5, great mix of puzzle types for different types of players. Definitely more about the puzzles than the story or ambiance. Fox in a Box clearly has the whole business on lock. (No pun intended.) Well run, great for beginners.
