PlaygroundThe Escape Game - AustinEscape roomIRLEasily one of my favorite escape rooms! The puzzles were high tech, varied, and really fun (also a bit challenging). The setting & story were incredibly immersive, nostalgic, and a bit humorous. My husband and I made it out, but this room is better suited for a bigger group. Overall, you must try this room if you’re in the area!!
Special Ops: Mysterious MarketThe Escape Game - Penn QuarterEscape roomIRLOne of my favorites by this group! I love 2nd gen puzzles and this had plenty. It was linear and we felt like it was suitable for 2 players but you wouldn't want more than 4. Overall great gameplay & story!
Magic LampGnome & RavenEscape roomIRLThe scenery, props, and high tech mechanics were phenomenal! Our GM stayed in character from the moment we met them up until our escape, too. They are also able to customize the room to accommodate different sized groups, different ages, and different skill levels. Our GM even upped the difficulty in the middle of the game when they realized that my husband and I had mistakenly chosen too low of a level. This room in particular was whimsical and had a charming, immersive storyline. I recommend it for kids and adults alike!
Back to the DinerGolden Puzzle RoomEscape roomIRLFun & memorable theme set in a 50s diner. The puzzles in this room are a mix of traditional puzzles as well as some high tech & unique puzzles we’ve never seen before! We have quite a few rooms under our belt and still felt challenged in this room!
Mayan Jungle RescueQuest Escapes - Cibolo [prev. Kwest Club Escape Adventures]Escape roomIRLThe intro to this room is something that I’ve never seen before! Plus the use of an interactive GM & the way they incorporate actors truly made this experience awesome. You have to check them out!!
Gold RushOperation EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was an incredibly immersive, linear room. Howeverm what made this room stand out were the VERY unique puzzles that we've never seen before! The first room felt “expert” level, but it got a tad bit easier as it went along. I highly recommend stopping by up if you're up for a challenge!
Gold RushThe Escape Game - San AntonioEscape roomIRLThis is such a cool room! The atmosphere is outstanding and the puzzles are really engaging. Not to mention, one puzzle in particular really stands out. Definitely one of our all time favorite rooms.
The Voyage of the Crimson RubyQuest Escapes - Cibolo [prev. Kwest Club Escape Adventures]Escape roomIRLI cannot get over how much I love this place!! The owner has a background in film and it shows. The use of an interactive GM was so cool. You have to check them out! This room is good for experienced players who want a little more of a challenge compared to the other room.
Once Upon A TimeRed Door Escape Room - RichmondEscape roomIRLThe only complaint was that one of the mechanics didn’t trigger and it prevented us from moving on before it was noticed. However, the room was SO well done that this didn’t even lower my rating! That’s saying something lol. This linear room was super whimsical and exciting. It’s one of the rooms here that I’d recommend for younger players.
ConfinementRed Door Escape Room - RichmondEscape roomIRLThis linear room has a mix of challenge levels when it comes to their puzzles! It’s incredibly fun and made us think outside of the box more than any other room! Best part? There’s an optional scare, but it’s not required. I personally love spooky stuff but I don’t want to do a scary escape room. By eliminating the scare, I still got to enjoy the room.
