What Happened in Vegas?Wild Goose Escapes - Huntington BeachEscape roomIRLWild Goose (and the ones they acquired) has never disappointed us in the past, and this room was no exception. Super fun, non-linear room. Tons of homemade high-tech puzzles, very immersive, fun surprises. Solving each puzzle was very rewarding. This would be fun to do as a work group or a team-building activity. Game master was also very friendly and helpful.
Game On: UNLOCKED ArcadeUNLOCKED: Escape RoomEscape roomIRLDid this room today with 3 total experienced escape room enthusiasts. Has a great time. Fun surprise part blew our minds (you'll know it when you get to it). Ambiance could be improved upon, but they are moving to a new location a month from now, so I assume it will be better. Highly recommend.
Christmas DiscoEscapetown - BloomingtonEscape roomIRLIn a town where there isn't a whole lot to do entertainment-wise, this escape room place is a great activity. Perfect for date night or an outing with family / friends. This place has only been open for a handful of weeks, and they're off to a great start. I will definitely come back in to try their other rooms!
Insane AsylumPanIQ Room - Long BeachEscape roomIRLI've done 215 rooms over the past 10 years in multiple different states and two countries, and I must say that this wasn't my favorite room. While I love a good physical challenge/puzzle now and then, this room was almost ALL physical challenges, which became time-consuming and required impractical feats like gymnastics. We would have enjoyed more logic-based puzzles and higher-tech challenges. Additionally, we had difficulty seeing puzzles due to low lighting, and we also had trouble hearing important clues, including nudges from the game master, due to low and muffled voices. There was also a very distracting loud noise that occurred every few minutes. One puzzle required a complete logical leap, making it nearly impossible without a clue. This room was similar to PanIQ's Atlantis in San Jose, CA, where one physical challenge was practically unsolvable without repeated attempts, consuming too much time. Despite these issues, the immersion factor was good.
