Storyteller's SecretBoxarooEscape roomIRLThis game was pretty neat given the various spaces inside. The set design was really cool and unique. We did this game with 2 people and thought it was manageable but does require a lot of team work and coordination across the space. In my opinion the puzzles were on the harder side, not because they were hard per se but because it was hard to know what exactly to do at times. Although this was a 75 minute game, we were still able to get out in under an hour.
Doomsday Disaster: Bunker Tested, Apocalypse AppovedMystery Soup Escape Rooms [prev. Lock & Clue Escape Rooms]Escape roomIRLThis one was so fun! The atmosphere inside the room was on point and all of the puzzles were fun and unique. We loved their hint system and our game guide did such a great job of nudging us when we were stuck while still letting us figure things out. It was such a fun and immersive environment. HIGHLY recommend Mystery Soup!
Mystery of the Magician's StudyBoxarooEscape roomIRLThis was a fun one with some interesting elements. It wasn’t anything out of the world, but definitely a fun way to spend some time. We did this room with 2 people and had no troubles. I would say this one is on the easier side though so if you are experienced, expect to get out of there with a good chunk of time left.
The Sorcerer's CurseMystery Soup Escape Rooms [prev. Lock & Clue Escape Rooms]Escape roomIRLThis might be the best escape room we’ve ever done (and we’ve done a lot!). From the moment we arrived to the very end, we were treated so well and immersed into the game. We absolutely LOVED this escape room and we had a blast!
The Haunted Hotel [prev. Escape Artist: Houdini's Final Contact Escape Room]The Great Escape Room - ProvidenceEscape roomIRLThis was a fine room. Nothing too write home about but a fun way to spend some time. The puzzles weren’t necessarily revolutionary by any means and we were able to move along at a good clip. Not really spooky even though there is a ghostly theme. Fine place to escape if you want but there are better places in the area (aka Mystery Soup).
The Double-CrossEscape Rhode IslandEscape roomIRLThis was a decent escape room but nothing to write home about. If you are in the area and need to kill some time this would be a fine place to go (though I’d recommend Mystery Soup over this if you don’t mind going out a little farther). There were a couple of frustrating puzzles inside that were frustrating because of the mechanics and not due to difficulty. It can get toasty in there as well.
Mountain Top MurdersThe Great Escape Room - ProvidenceEscape roomIRLThis one was a little spooky but nothing too terrible. There were a couple of puzzles at the beginning that were annoying because the clues (for us at least) were not very clear. A few puzzles were annoying in a tedious way but nothing so annoying it ruined game play. Fine place to spend some time but there are definitely better places in the area (aka Mystery Soup).
The BunkerEscape Rhode IslandEscape roomIRLThis could have been because we were only 2 people but this one was pretty annoying and frustrating. Not necessarily difficult but just a lot of tedious puzzles. I was not a fan of the hint system here and it felt like our game guide left us floundering quite a bit. The final puzzle was also annoying because you had to place a switch in just the right spot or it wouldn’t work (even though technically you had it correct). Personal opinion would be to skip this one and try a different room.
Blackbeard's BrigEscapeWorks Denver - BallparkEscape roomIRLIt’s been a year since we did this game but I still remember this one. It was such a great set design and fun unique puzzles. I definitely recommend.
