Puzzles are all intuitive, but there are lots of them. High quality sets, great effects, and our GM even did a wizard voice. There’s a reason this one keeps getting nominations!
The DigEscape the Room - Houston MidtownEscape roomIRLOf the 30ish rooms I’ve done, this is probably the worst. No real story. Linear puzzles except a more obvious one at the start that’s out of linear order. We won but had to rely on GM hints which kills the experience.
After DarkHorror EscapeEscape roomIRLThis is the absolute worst escape room we’ve ever done. It’s dark, which is fine, but they only give you one light source which means multiple people are superfluous. Clues in the last room are completely non intuitive and clues come through the tablet in the first room which means you’re going back and forth through the tight crawlspace. The only saving grace is that it’s a lot cheaper than most rooms. Save your money!
