Midnight in WonderlandThe Markey Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLMidnight in Wonderland was our first ever room (fam w/3 kids 10-12), and we plain LOVED it. The puzzles were just the right amount of challenging and each totally fit in with the theme in amazing ways that I didn’t even fully appreciate at the time. The GM Suzanne is fantastic. We got a bunch of hints which in hindsight we shouldn’t have needed, but they were perfect nudges that still left room for a little solving. I highly recommend this room, especially for beginners/kids, but I suspect vets would also have a blast.
Tomb of the ForgottenThe Markey Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis review comes from a group of first timers including kids. We had a lot of fun in this room, but frankly if you’re only doing one room at the Markey, we liked the Alice room much better. The puzzles here were quite challenging for us but somewhat ordinary … can’t help feeling that seasoned escapers might not be overly impressed. One element of the room creates a bit of a bottleneck where it’s difficult to work on things simultaneously. And it just didn’t seem exceptionally clever in terms of props etc. but again we don’t know what to compare it to. We ended up using a lot of hints, which didn’t bother us even though they were pretty direct (perhaps because we were running out of time). Bottom line we still had lots of fun.
