The Lost Cabin

This is a simplistic room with easy and boring puzzles.  Rather than being game or story connected, some steps needed to be taken are just randomly hard to find.  This game lacks flow and ingenuity.  But good for a rainy day.

Criminally Insane Asylum

This was one of those frustrating rooms where nothing flows, it’s all a series of tedious, rather than interesting or creative, deciphering of symbols, tasks that lead nowhere, and totally unaware owners.  We were asked to leave our belongings to include our cells, apple watches, purses, in a room which was unlocked and unattended.  I was locked in a cell which intentionally shocks people and was told “it was for their (the owners and game master’s) amusement”—what????  The room is very dimly lit and as we are older we struggled to see well enough to navigate the room.  We asked for another flashlight but were given a dead flashlight intentionally “to maintain the ambiance of the room.”  The owner explained that in a true kidnapping situation, we wouldn’t have access to luxuries like flashlight so they were maintaining authenticity by providing not enough light to get through the game.  The owner provided a walk-thru of the game after we finished.  We asked for an explanation of a couple of puzzles/locked areas that seemed significant but weren’t used in getting out.  These were apparently to get more time if completed and intended to be frustrating.  Well, the whole room and experience was frustrating so I guess it worked.
