Area 1: The PortalProject Immersive Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI am a huge fan of escape rooms and would say I have pretty high standards - but Project Immersive just completely blew me away. It was incredible and really lived up to the name of being immersive. The game begins the minute you arrive where you are greeted by the game master in character, and the entire building and interior really adds to the atmosphere. The puzzles themselves were absolutely fantastic and you can tell they put so much effort into making the room realistic. Our team had the best time, and we especially appreciated the time our game host spent after the room explaining how certain puzzles work, the history of the building and how Project Immersive came to be! We are so excited to come back and play Nuclear Enrichment!! Thank you so much again for an unforgettable experience :)
The Other SideFox in a Box BrisbaneEscape roomIRLMy favourite room that I've done so far at fox in the box. The theme and room design was incredible, and we had so much fun!
OrphanageQuest RoomEscape roomIRLWe played the Orphanage tonight and it was my first time at Quest Room - I can say for certain we will definitely be back! Our quest master, Amy, was absolutely fantastic right from the outset, super friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. The room itself was absolutely stunning, it felt incredibly authentic and you could just tell from all the details how much effort was put into the design. The puzzles are very tech based which means its often not so straightforward as just finding a 4 digit code, requiring lots of thinking outside the box. Gameplay flowed well and it was scary and suspenseful in a subtle way. And we escaped!! Yippeeee! :))))
Zodiac KillerFox in a Box BrisbaneEscape roomIRLSuper spooky and scary room - absolutely loved the gameplay and design and I felt like it was the perfect mix of challenging yet achievable. Our team had so much fun and thank you to our game master, Josie, for excellent story telling!
ChernobylEscape Room TownsvilleEscape roomIRLreally really enjoyed this room, my first at escape room townsville! played with two of my friends who had never done escape rooms before but they still had the best time despite the 4.5/5 difficulty rating! heaps and heaps of different puzzles, logical gameplay and really cool theming of the room! loved it
Death RowEscape Manor BrisbaneEscape roomIRLdid it during escape manors black out event for halloween so the room was completely pitch black lest our torches. SOOO FUN AND SOOOO SCARY
Tipsy Whispers: A Murder MysteryRed Lock Escape Rooms - Sunshine CoastEscape roomIRLmy first room at red lock and it did not disappoint! we decided to do their hardest room (difficulty rating of 5/5) and really enjoyed it. its a classic escape room format, mixture of locks and electronic puzzles but the murder mystery aspect was easy to follow and enjoyable. i will say, we played this room with a larger team, and i would definitely recommend playing it with a team of 4 or less because it was a bit of a tight squeeze.
Yokai IzakayaMystic EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was our first time playing a room at Mystic Escape and they certainly did not disappoint! As one of the newer escape rooms in Brisbane, stakes are always high but Yokai Izakaya really surpassed our expectations as an incredibly creative and unique concept. Drawing inspiration from Japanese izakaya culture with supernatural elements, the storyline was intriguing and developed throughout. The puzzles themselves we found to be quite straightforward, and our host was extremely helpful and friendly before and during the game. Even though some of them require translating Japanese, the room was still very enjoyable for the native Japanese speaker in our group. We will definitely be back to play the other two rooms - thank you Mystic Escape!
