The Keeper And The Fungus Among UsHeadlock Escape Rooms OnlineEscape roomVirtual This was my first live escape room experience and I wasn’t sure what to anticipate but I was blown away with the ingenuity and creativity on display for this game. All the love and details that was put in made incredible moments to remember and the after game talk with Joel the owner only proved that this project had his whole attention put into it. I can’t wait to play his next game whenever it goes public and you should play this game already. p.s. we also got the fastest time for a team of two. just sayin~
Rise of the FungiHeadlock Escape Rooms OnlineEscape roomVirtual a very charming prequel to “Keeper” with lots of interesting new concepts and moments that keep me thinking “wait, how did he do that?” well throughout the game. play it before it’s gone for awhile!
Escape AcademyCoin Crew GamesEscape roomVirtual I am pleasantly surprised by this game. Lots of escape games you can play virtually have lots of complicated or elaborate puzzles and can feel very marathonish, which isn’t a bad thing at all to some. but this game gave me the first genuine feeling of playing an escape room that I’d almost forgot that it was a video game sometimes. puzzles were easy to follow, story added urgency and whimsy and the drama of the situations that you’re put in added that extra bit to the game that makes it stand out amongst in person rooms by placing you in situations that escape rooms can’t even attempt. plus the variation of each experience makes a large selection of moments that still stick to me when i think about escape rooms in general. this game has left me feeling better for playing it, which i can’t say for many escape video games. if you read this far, you should give this a try, get it while it’s in a steam sale! definitely going to try some of the DLC next!
InscryptionDaniel Mullins Games-OnlineEscape roomVirtual wow. that’s the best word to describe this game. immediately in my top five games. maybe even 3. great natural flow to story telling, competitive and strategic card building systems, escape room puzzles, easter eggs and an arg. this game has everything and then some. go in blind, you’re welcome
Escape Academy: Escape From Anti-Escape IslandCoin Crew GamesEscape roomVirtual I loved this one just as much as the first one. The story is interesting and the puzzles in this series is the closest thing I have played to a real life escape room in a video game. Other games have something that pulls it back from the realness, but this game series really knows how to make it feel just as busy and logical as a top tier irl escape room. Also, this is the only online first person game series that doesn’t give me motion sickness when I play on my laptop. so all things considered that makes this an S tier for me
The Shop of TheseusRECONEscape roomVirtual a very fun experience done by the master Mark Larson. look out for his other experiences that he offers because he’s really great at his craft.
Cube Escape: BirthdayRusty LakeEscape roomVirtual i loved this game and the story that unfolds. it gives you more questions but slowly starts answering some for you. this is the beginning of the upswing for rusty lake
Escape Academy: Escape From the PastCoin Crew GamesEscape roomVirtual another great DLC for escape academy. honestly, the best virtual experience you can play for a laptop game. just play them all already. idk why you even read this far. i love you
Cube Escape: ParadoxRusty LakeEscape roomVirtual the most rusty lake game they have so far and my total favorite. much more ambitious of a project than the previous ones by expanding outside of just the game and into ARG territory. multiple stories to tell with surprises at every step
Cube Escape: Harvey's BoxRusty LakeEscape roomVirtual conceptually very interesting and the first big sign that something very odd is going on with a key character in the lore so far. puzzles fit very well and gives similar vibes to “lab rat” by hatch!
