Lost in the ShuffleSpencer is PuzzlingEscape roomTabletopa very well done experience. I don’t want to say too much but it’s well crafted with much attention to detail. some puzzles are set up so well that i think about them to this day still. if you’re reading this review, this is your sign to just get it.
The Medusa ReportDiorama OnlineEscape roomTabletopanother great game from Diorama. the puzzles had a very natural flow to it, with a handful of surprises and creative twists and turns along the way. i love the way they can make you realize something you had a passing thought about 30 minutes ago was the setup for a whole other puzzle later on. the whole game feels like an ‘aha’ moment in the best way.
The Curious Stairs of Mr. HincksBluefish GamesEscape roomTabletopa cute prequel experience to Elevator of Mr. Hincks. not necessary to the parent game but a few puzzles in this experience has merit to them and if you buy it in a bundle deal with their other games, I think it’s a worthy addition.
AdriftPostCuriousEscape roomTabletopa beautiful experience. an impressive way how puzzles between art and poetry can be weaved together. my first experience with Post Curious and it makes me excited for their other games!
Madok's Lost TreasureSociety Of CuriositiesEscape roomTabletopi’m overly impressed with game given how immersive it becomes with very little when it comes into props, papers and pieces. everything given is just enough as well as given such a proper focus to the details that it can vaguely feel believable when playing. the communication system through SMS and the web media involved makes this whole experience feel like you’re actually in an adventure and not playing a boxed game.
Unlock! Timeless Adventures: Lost in the TimeWarpSpace CowboysEscape roomTabletopa good example of thinking of the possibilities within this niche medium as opposed to other tabletop or irl escape room experiences. the logic flowed and made sense and you even get to see the in game app do some things you haven’t seen before!
Unlock! The Adventures of OzSpace CowboysEscape roomTabletopalmost a perfect adventure in the unlock! franchise. many good puzzles, satisfying secrets, engaging finales and a deserving ending. the additional props add to the experiences and it’s a successful addition to the wizard of oz ip. it’s rated high on Morty for a reason, give it a shot if you’re curious!
The Reelburger Box SetTrapped Puzzle Rooms - OnlineEscape roomTabletopthis game has a crazy amount of love put into it and it shows. this is one of those games that strays from the regular experience you get from a boxed at home game but it is so well executed that every new reveal and puzzle felt so surprising and gave a nostalgic feeling you won’t get with a generic murder mystery game. if you’re ready this far already, get the game.
The Posie Ring & The ChapbookSociety Of CuriositiesEscape roomTabletopthe games from Society of Curiosities are some of the most unique in gameplay experiences I have played yet. the combination of props, paper puzzles, mixed media and discovery are so special that i barely want to tell others anything about the company and just want to say trust me. i was expecting the game to dip in quality from madok’s lost treasure but i was happily mistaken. they’re wholeheartedly worth the subscription service method for their experiences
Unlock! Timeless Adventures: The Noside ShowSpace CowboysEscape roomTabletopcurrently my favorite unlock! game. simple puzzling done very right. a good use of both physical and digital media for a card puzzle game. cute solves and a satisfying story!
